Arguement with a posh pair over a parking space-just received a letter from the police...

Honestly, some people have too much time on their hands.

We were parked up an aisle in August waiting patiently for a space then one appeared-we were just about to drive into it when Mr & Mrs shiny big chelsea tractor overtook and attempted to take the space- the guy who was leaving didn't actually leave as he was trying to let us have the space (he could see that we were waiting) Dh jumped out and said "excuse me we were waiting for that space for 10 minutes" and was told by Mr & Mrs Chelsea tractor "well go and wait somewhere else for another then".

10 minutes later dh and the twots were still argueing about it whilst I slipped into the space and walked ds out and went for a coffee

Dh has rung me to tell me that he has had a letter from the crime unit. The woman is alleging that Dh was a really aggressive big black man who was thretening to beat her and her husband and kids up if they didn't leave the shopping mall.

Bonkers, crazy bonkers. The PC even said that the woman was insistant that the PC come to our house and arrest dh

I spoke to the PC dealing with it as dh can't whilst he is at work and he was utterly charming and said there were glaring inconsistencies in her statement but they are apparently not going to let it lie.???

Now dh is getting all hot under the collar and wants to involve solicitors to teach them a lesson. I would rather leave it. If nothing happens than it's the opposite of what Mr&Mrs Posh want isn't it.

Sorry - not taking the piss. I definitely think your DH shold counter with his own statement, mentioning the racist comments of THEIR statement. I mean WTF has being black got to do with anything??? Why mention that specific point?

Suggested statement

meggle - getting solicitors involved is going to cost you - imo this pair are not worth spending a penny on (literally!).

i'd ignore it and don't rise to it and hopefully it will go away once your dh has made a statement - after all it's his word against theirs type of thing.

I would point out to DH that getting involved sounds like what they want - so if you take the "high ground" as it were and leave it be then they are just going to end up looking like the yobs they sound like they are and hopefully it will cost them - sometimes the best reataliation is nothing at all. Plus, if the police think it's all stupid, then that is a huge plus. If your DH gets involved then it will escalate!
