Zombie continues her cancer journey after chemo

The thread in Chat has gone to thread heaven. Silly Zombie thought it wasn't due to go until tomorrow so missed her chance to ask HQ to move it here.

She slept well last night and feels reasonably well this morning.

Today went as well as it could, but I can't get warm now I'm at home !

I can totally see why you'd be feeling like that Zombie and all I can offer right now is a hand or shoulder squeeze (gentle if you like).

Selfishly, I'm pleased/relieved to see you here, no matter how brief your post is, because I was laying in the bath worrying thinking about you this morning.

I probably should have been worrying about my narcissistic mother, who had surgery to remove her gall bladder today, but knowing her, she will be fretting about the dozens of fags she can't have and won't give a toss about all the effort others are going to in order to make her comfortable. So I can't care as much as genetics dictate that I should.

Sorry you're feeling pants Zombie. Batten down the hatches, pamper yourself & get well soon.

It would appear that we have become a trogladyte phalanx, I think that's a first

I see us each in our own feather lined cave, either side of a narrow ravine, with a couple of rock bridges and lots of ropes strung between us.
We've all got our own little pool, and a small promontory to build a fire.

The dynamic acoustics of the ravine mean we only have to whisper " come to mine for cocktails in ten"

Wouldn't it be lovely if we could communicate by whisper?

I too am a Cave Dweller. Massive Cave Dweller. I could dwell here for a very, very long time and sometimes do.

However, speaking to my Best Friend always makes me feel better, but I'm too daft to do it. Why is that? It generally takes her ringing me, me feeling guilty for ignoring her the first couple of times, then answering... Why am I so daft?!

Can we tempt you out your cave with promises of chicken photos and gin?! You could tell us more about ZL as a baby, the photo is beautiful x. You were a lovely looking teenager weren't you! If only we appreciated it at the time hey!

I like the idea of there being good solid doors around the cave, like the ones on a substantial town house, with shiny brass fittings...and on the other side, caves which open out to give the most amazing vews and scenic walks. (Anything to avoid thinking of pot holing and rope bridges, if I'm honest!)
