The thread in Chat has gone to thread heaven. Silly Zombie thought it wasn't due to go until tomorrow so missed her chance to ask HQ to move it here.

She slept well last night and feels reasonably well this morning.

Hello Zombie, I guess you are ploughing through different things in preparation for your trip, you appear to have such a busy week ahead of you, don't tire yourself out too much.

Hope you're getting some good sleep Zomb in amongst the organising and excitement.

I'm still here.

I didn't get as much done today as I had planned. While I was just starting on my first cup of coffee this morning I had a phone call from my old gardener. He had worked for my late DH and me, then latterly for me for 19 years all in. He was also a close friend as was his wife. He wanted to come around to see me and I said "Of course. Please do."

Very long story cut short: He stopped coming to do the garden about 3 1/2 years ago. No explanation. Today he told me why. Scrotebag had told him one day that he didn't want him here and not to come back. I never knew about this. When I started wondering out loud to Scrote why N hadn't been around Scrote professed to have no idea.

12 hours later I am still spitting nails. HOW DARE HE? What the fuck else did Scrote do that hasn't crawled out of the woodwork yet?

but seriously, what a dick, I'd be fuming too. and what a nasty thing to do, poor you and poor N. I hope you had a good catch up with your friend.
will you be able to employ him again? it's so good he could tell you what had happened, at least your friendship wasn't damaged irreparably.

I hope worrying about what else he'd done doesn't stop you from having a good sleep tonight. can you confront him and ask? (would it worth it?)

not sure if you've seen my post but the stop over offer is still valid, MrZing said he is happy to take you to airport on Sunday. also he'd pick you up on way it back if he's around or book you a cab ahead. I think coming back is when you'll be more exhausted so I really hope you take up offer at least then and come here, have a nap, shower, food whatever you need.
I know you'd do it for me so let me/us do it for you. x
