boobylicious - welcome to this thread
if you have a good train service that wont be a problem as lots of the jobs are within access to a train or tube station

check out www.childmodelling.net for a list of agencies . A hightly rated agency Urban Angels is opening its books in a few weeks (it only opens them a twice a year). lots are with mot bruce and brown and kids london on here as they are rated highly and i dont think any of them charge assesment fees (dont quote me on that!) som agencies do charge an assesment fee of about £25 yet that is after they have invited you for assesment based on the photos you submit
Good luck!

thank you all for your advice i will try those mentioned and will wait til she is that little bit older

its not me that suggested it my friend used to do child modelling and said it was worth a shot so hey ho

julie4travel · 26/09/2006 12:18

boobylicious my friends baby got accepted with bubblegum at a few weeks old so some agencies may consider slightly younger babies!

Hello, nothing to say really except good luck to all with castings, jobs and applying to agencies

yummymummy, well done to dd with littlewoods and hope they use her this time
hope all goes well with your essay .. i did a year of A level psychology before giving it up! .. brain felt frazzled and i'm sure my tutor was slowly going mad!!

lindac · 26/09/2006 12:29

julie> your pic's are great love the one with her hair in bunches, i love her hair, i think she will do well in modelling, wonder how they are going to be used!

ellesmum · 26/09/2006 12:33

julie - any advice would be so much appreciated as dont know anyone else in the travel industry. i was going to start an access to midwifery course but after great thought i didn't think i would have enough support with elle in the long term as all my family live in east anglia. so now ive decided to go with something ive already qualified for to save time and going back to college with elle being still so young.

lanismum · 26/09/2006 12:38

hello, boobylicious, glad you found the thread, sorry i wasnt more help last night but i was just switching the computer off, i thought if i redirected you here, somebody would help, and they did by the way, i was at an assesment at urban angels, and there was a 12 day old baby there! im not sure if he was accepted, im not even sure how mum had managed to get there just 12 days after giving birth, but just shows that some do at least ask to see very tiny babies.
speaking of having babies, im still trying to arrange a midwifes appointment, i never dreamt it would be so hard, iv still not seen one and im 11 weeks now, not really a problem in itself but i have had a few problems id like sorting out, but at least i have my scan next week, so should be reassured by that
good luck to everyone with jobs/castings coming up!!

julie4travel · 26/09/2006 12:40

lindic - thanks. i thought she looked through she had a fight with a bush!!!! not being funny we set off on the 0720 train for those photos and she wasn't done till 4 hours later as the photographer was late. First thing she looked quite good!

Still dont know what to do!

well done on the bitish iles comp, they will look so scrummy in a little suit.

julie4travel · 26/09/2006 13:25

ellismummy thats good that ts will give a refund. I think i may send my dds pictures in for assesment and see if they say yes or no to her. I think they will say no and then i will def stick with ts. i presume ts aren't doing any later shoots apart from the one on 22nd oct? what a palava

hi all always seems to be loads of chat when we're out and heaps to catch up on!

lolly we had next shoot today the lady (deb i think?) was saying that you were talking about me and ds and mumsnet yest! i must have been confused when i thought we were there on mon! they were super nice and ds had a great time. they had him in 3 outfits so i think they really liked him and the photographer was fab. apparently it's for next directory spring/summer which is out in december so can't wait! i'm sure your dd will be better when they let her do what she wants tom!

congrats julie and trace best of luck in the competition, ellesmum hope elle is chosen too!

another debbie bliss shoot for the same book tomorrow really looking forward to it as it's in herne hill and there's an amazing children's book store there and i had been wishing i'd bought a few more for ds and now i can!

ellesmum · 26/09/2006 15:17

hiya dylansmum - glad to hear dylans next shoot went well! hope tomorrow goes well 2, dont forget to let us know when all his work is going 2 be out so we can see, bet the debbie bliss pictures will come out georgeous.

Lolly68 · 26/09/2006 15:21

Hi DLM - yes think that was her name. She is really nice and loves Lydia and was very understanding that she would not do as she was told which is why they booked her tomorrow. Fingers crossed. You must tell us when your little man's work is out. Good luck for tomorrow.
Did they have Dylan laying down or sitting?

educatingrita · 26/09/2006 16:08

Hi all,
Great news on the boys who have been shortlisted for the British Isles contest, im sure they had loads of entries well done

Georgia had a casting for a woolworths commercial Friday, heard she has been pencilled for it. Trying not to get too excited until its confirmed and licence through but hard not to get hopes up

ellesmum · 26/09/2006 16:17

wow that sounds good, good luck to your dd!

mrsratty · 26/09/2006 16:18

Well done on all the jobs everyone, still nothing for my DD.

I read on CM that you have to pay £150 for the British Isles thing or get sponership! Are you going to do this?

mrsratty · 26/09/2006 16:20

DD is on the front of the mothercare website though with some of her face cut off!

Lolly68 · 26/09/2006 16:26

Well done EdRita - fingers crossed she gets it!

princessmel · 26/09/2006 16:27
