get rid of it and get yourself a smaller one and a cabinet to put it in

MrsSpoon · 19/09/2006 15:44

Get the fireplace taken out and put the telly in it's place?

Blackduck · 19/09/2006 15:44

My DP has bought one of these things too......luckily we have a 'back room' that has always had the telly in it so no issues about over fireplaces or what not.....I do expect someone to come round and sell ice cream thou' (personally I HATE it..)

nailpolish · 19/09/2006 15:44

im more concerned you have a fireplace twig

is it a real fire?

oliveoil · 19/09/2006 15:45

I have a fireplace too

Blackduck · 19/09/2006 15:47

we have five (but only one is still a real fire...)

MrsSpoon · 19/09/2006 15:48

We've got three in this house.

iota · 19/09/2006 15:51

we've had our 42" plasma TV for almost 3 yrs now - you do get used to them and hardly notice them when they're off. In fact I tend to assume that eveyone has one .

Ours is on a cabinet by the side of the fireplace and takes up a lot less room then the conventional TV that we had before and is less obtrusive

Twiglett · 19/09/2006 16:26

We have a fireplace in lounge, dining room, DS' room, our bedroom (bedroom ones are boarded up)

victorian house

none of them work though

Not over a fieplave because of the heat rising and all that. Didn't think it was safe. Ours is on the wall opposite the fire.
