Also Kaloo, who are you??????? really need to know thats two other regs who post here in disguise, you have to come out like me and face the wrath of Cod!!

julie4travel · 30/08/2006 16:11

dylansluckymummy- he is normally mr happy go lucky, never has enemies seems to get on with everyone! they actually named him mr happy, although the red haired temper does come out every now and then! I have a dd who is three she starts with truly scrumptious not until jan though, she hasn't done any modelling before as i had never considered it. Last year she was a shy girl , she is now so totally different! A Chatterbox is the best word to describe her or a more sociable child is putting it mildly! I talk a lot though so my hubbie recons its from me. I have to in my job (thats my excuse!!!)

ellismummy · 30/08/2006 16:19

Hi everyone, just an enquiry, we have only been for one casting and were phoned about it at 6pm to go the next day, would you say that is normally the amount of notice we can expect to get or do you normally get a bit more notice?

lanismum · 30/08/2006 16:20

hi everyone!
iv not been around in ageeees
had a bit of a fright with the baby, had some bleeding and convinced myself the worst had happened, got a scan at the early pregnancy unit and all is well, saw the babys little heartbeat, they also put my dates back 2 weeks, so im 7 weeks preg tomorrow, i feel quite rough, like i have a constant hangover, without the fun of being drunk

bugger all on the modelling side of things for dd though, beginning to think she will never get picked for anything, also her contract is up next week i think, so im pretty sure ua wont renew it as shes been so unpopular bless her

quad- reading was brilliant! the weather stayed dry, i had the pleasure of seeing my chemical romance getting bottles thrown at them, lani was picked up by a strange man who danced with her to american headcharge, poor baby, think i went shopping while slayer were on placebo were brilliant as they always are, pear jam were great too, except for the 15 min version of rearview mirror! lani really enjoyed herself though, and was much better behaved than i thought she would be.

lanismum · 30/08/2006 16:22

pearl jam, not pear jam, obviously

lanismum · 30/08/2006 16:23

by the way, cant wait to meet everyone iv not met yet at the soft play thingy, ill be the 1 looking slightly chubby and green in the corner

julie4travel · 30/08/2006 16:32

lanismum- sorry about your fright, glad the baby and you are well though

are you going to try other agencies or stick with ua?, something will come up soon

lanismum · 30/08/2006 16:36

im not really too sure what to do, i suppose i could apply to others, but if shes had no luck with ua, im not sure she would with others, at the last casting she went to, she was a little monster, and she didnt want her pics taken she only wanted to run around with the other kids, so im not sure if her booker got to hear about that and hasnt put her forward for any more? maybe ill wait till shes a bit older?

lanismum · 30/08/2006 16:36

what would anyone else do?

julie4travel · 30/08/2006 16:44

lanismum how old is she?

my ds only had 1 job total last year with Scallywags. went to cs management and given two castings within 2 months , not that he got the part of could go to the second casting yet more promising. I know UA are supposed to be superb yet you may find a different agent better? wonder if anyone else has found a massive difference changing agent?

lanismum · 30/08/2006 16:52

shes almost 18 months, i know a lot of people say its a very difficult age to work with, so maybe thats why? she has had castings though, so shes not being completly overlooked.

tavalana · 30/08/2006 16:56

lanismum - i would try other agencies as if she didn't have lucky with urban angels then you have nothing to lose.

lanismum · 30/08/2006 16:58

yeah i suppose i could try some others with low fees, at least i wouldnt be wasting money!

lanismum · 30/08/2006 17:01

i think she was turned down by bruce and brown and MOT though, but she has changed a lot since then, so might try them again, along with kids london. part of me thinks i should just give up till shes older as then she would be able to understand, and tell me if she really hates it, but part of me wants to try again, oh the decisions

tavalana · 30/08/2006 17:06

lanismum - my son is going through that stage where he doesnt want to stand still but he gets a bit of work here and there. give bruce and brown, mot and kids london a go and see if they take her, then you think about it again.

ellesmum · 30/08/2006 17:06

dylansluckymum - just seen your little boy on cm he is seriously georgeous! what agency is he with? thanks for your comment on my dd, she is already a little heart breaker, she has two little boys fighting over her already! dont know what im gonna do when shes a teenager!

ellesmum · 30/08/2006 17:11

lainsmum - how old is she? my daughter is 2 and she is going through a bad stage at the mo, she had a job a few weeks ago, she was good for the first hour, then she had enough and was quite naughty, running off and wanting to play with other kids e.t.c im sure the photographers will understand, they have to be patient there only babies at the end of the day.
dont give up as i was with another agent for 18 months and my dd got nothing, ive put her with kids london and within 2 weeks she had 1 casting which led to her first job!
i wouldnt give up!

lanismum · 30/08/2006 17:11

yeah thanks, think ill give them a try once i hear for certain that ua are kicking her off their books!

lanismum · 30/08/2006 17:12

ellesmum, shes almost 18 months, and very, erm, lively

mrratty · 30/08/2006 17:46

Hello all,
The Asda shoot yesterday was freat fun for DD. It was a photographer DD has a great raport with which is probablyh why it was so good.

RE the CM shoot, about 160 people have viewed the message so I think that 300 applicants may be a slight exaggeration. I suepected they would sell off the photos to make money!

dylansluckymum · 30/08/2006 17:54

i told bandb about the cm shoot and they actually weren't too happy about it. they said it's fine but the didn't like the idea that they weren't contacting agencies directly to make sure it was okay. think i might cancel if no one else is going to be in shep bush around 10.30? if i don't get to at least meet up with someone i'm not sure it's worth it!

ellesmum just saw we're chatting in two places! are you coming to the meet-up, i can't remember now. i think you're in london too, do you work or are you a stay at home mum?

i'm very excited bandb have rung me about 2 possible jobs just checking availability right now but i can't wait!!!

ellesmum · 30/08/2006 17:54

hi marraty, izzy told me they had 300 applicants, it has also been advertised on starnow for quite some time so lots of people from there would have prob applied.

glad to hear your ds job went well!

Quadrophenia · 30/08/2006 17:54

Hey lanismum, why not just wait and see, I think its fairly typical of kids Lanis age to play up a bit and i doubt she would have not been put forward on the basis of this. Glad you had a fab time at reading, Placebo did look fab, would have been worried if you'd indulged in Slayer! Think we may do a big festival next year, although I'm not sure I'm brave enough yet! Will need dog leads for all the kiddies! x

Quadrophenia · 30/08/2006 17:56

Also re the CM thing despite the views on the site if every viewer had more than one kid, which lots do then it would easily amount to around the 300 mark. Can't be arsed with it personally but thats just me

ellesmum · 30/08/2006 17:57

dylansmum - oh dear do you think i should ask kids london if they would mind? dont want to get into trouble with them! you can understand where b and b are coming from though!
