As long as it works im not bothered.

I only use it to text and talk anyhow so dont need all the fancy thingys that you get with posh ones.

Tutter · 03/08/2006 10:57

agree - not inetersted. but it has to be a nokia - can't drive anything else. they were ringin me loads recently trying to get me excited about an upgrade.

CountessDracula · 03/08/2006 10:58

no
I have ancient nokia held together with a rubber band after I dropped it fumbling for change at a meter.

It is fine

I just want one that makes calls and takes photos, mine does both (though the rubber band does get across the lens from time to time)

Tutter · 03/08/2006 10:58

shit why do i always do typos when i reply to cod's posts

charliecat · 03/08/2006 10:59

No, though my old one didn't keep charged up for very long so after much grumbling I agreed to have dh's old one (which is poncier but does hold its charge.)

magnolia1 · 03/08/2006 11:01

I loved my nokia, plain and simple and now I got a new one bought for my birthday. Thank god its pretty plain and simple too. It is pink though so not sure how long it will last

Dh has an obsession about phones and I swear he breaks them on purpose just to get a new one

ocd · 03/08/2006 11:02

hmm am nto sure abotu pink things like phones

I give a toss, I really want a Samsung e900, probably will get one, but won't be paying lots of money for it, I generally manage to get really good deals with free handsets......

MrsJohnCusack · 03/08/2006 11:04

the one thing I really like on my phone is the radio - great for train journeys etc.
apart from that - phone calls, texts, alarm please, that's it

Tutter · 03/08/2006 11:05

have a friend who does soething important at virgin mobile - always has alarmingly functional handsets

Tutter · 03/08/2006 11:05

as in - an alarming number of functions

Northerner · 03/08/2006 11:05

Oh yes I cvet all new phones when they come out. Would love the new LG chocoalte but am not paying for it.

Blackduck · 03/08/2006 11:06

nope - own is an old nokia that is very basic
work is a posh nokia, camera la-de-da (wouldn't buy it thou')

fairyfly · 03/08/2006 11:07

Yes i do care, i bond with them greatly and change my model for different occassions. I have an evening phone and a day one.
I also buy accessories, just brought a bigger memory card so i can store more music.

they appeal to me greatly and i always nosey at others, i like seeing what graphics people have.

lucy5 · 03/08/2006 11:07

I have had 3 nokias, due to loss and damage. I don't care about functions, i know how to operate them and thats good enough for me.

JackieNo · 03/08/2006 11:11

Nope - don't care. As long as it's small-ish and works, don't use most of the features except to actually phone, and the occasional text (but really hardly any).

MrsJohnCusack · 03/08/2006 11:11

remember last time on the phone to them choosing a new phone:

geeky phone man: Model name, bla bla bla, MOdel name bla bla bla bla etc.etc.etc.
Me: Do you have one that lights up orange? I really liked mine that did that
GPM: Er no
Me: So what's the difference between the ones you told me about
GPM: well I already said but I can take you through them again...
Me: NO!...ok I want one with a radio and a camera
GPM: you can have the Sony bla or
ME: THAT'LL DO

done

waterfalls · 03/08/2006 11:14

No, could'nt give a monkeys, as long as I can make calls, thats all I need (is'nt that the idea?)
Dh is always moaning at me for not answering it, as I never have it on me, he on the other hand is obsessed with his, he wont even go to the loo without it, and he upgrades often to ensure he has every function possible...........saddo

HappyDaddy · 03/08/2006 11:18

Oooh yes i lurve gadgets.

waterfalls · 03/08/2006 11:20

Typical bloke

poopy · 03/08/2006 11:23

No. A phone is a phone ...
I have an ancient Nokia that doesn't even take photos or have predictive text ...
If I want to take a photo I have a digital camera.
I can't work out the predictive text on DH's phone ... drives me nuts.

CheesyFeet · 03/08/2006 11:25

Couldn't give a stuff myself. As long as it lets me talk to people and send texts. DH wants one that's all singing and all dancing but he's just upgraded his sat nav so I've told him he's not allowed .

Has to be a Nokia so that it fits in my hands free car kit thingy.

Did you know that the word twat is really easy to type on a phone keypad? One press of the button gor each letter. I found that out whilst texting dh the other day.
