A little Mornington Crescent - anyone care to join in?

I just fancy a change of focus.

I'll jump right in with Great Portland Street - I think I'm entitled to do that, with it being beyond the autumn equinox, but before Halloween?

Any takers?

Ah! I had no idea we were playing still (again?) May I step back into the game at this late stage?

if so, I would like to call upon Updike-O'Donoghue and sneak over to High Street Ken I believe that's a first for this round?

Nice move, OaA. I think I'll steeple across to Goldhawk Road.

MiniMonty · 20/11/2013 01:12

I did say "in six" and it looks like it !

Mornington Cresent

TheHeadlessLadyofCannock · 20/11/2013 09:13

Well DONE, Mini! I love how you managed that Goldhawk Road play; would have tripped up a lesser player but you in fact turned it to your advantage.

AlbertGiordino · 20/11/2013 09:38

A masterclass in short-play there team.

Well played all round (even though the Bakerloo was nowhere near high - must have used the Mumsnet Variation to get to MC - a first I believe)

OverAndAbove - as the OP, care to start again?

MooncupGoddess · 20/11/2013 10:40

Congrats, Mini! Nicely done indeed.

OverAndAbove · 20/11/2013 12:23

Yay, yes I would! Great to see all the dedicated players have turned out in force. Some really focused definitive moves there.

Think I'll go down the trad route this time. So, as a start, I give you Hyde Park Corner

Hmm.

Earls Court

TheHeadlessLadyofCannock · 20/11/2013 12:37

Ooh, new game!

I don't want to put a cat among the pigeons this early, so although I'm bursting to elevate a Bing, I'll go nice and simple:

Borough.

MooncupGoddess · 20/11/2013 14:04

Canary Wharf.

AlbertGiordino · 20/11/2013 14:50

Roding Valley - and thats a three-line Trudge

TheHeadlessLadyofCannock · 20/11/2013 14:54

I'm going to use Heinemann's Exception to avoid hounds' corners and go to Canada Water.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 20/11/2013 15:01

Oxford Circus

Juliaparker25 · 20/11/2013 15:12

Ravenscourt Park ..................Ignoring the one way ..........

TheHeadlessLadyofCannock · 20/11/2013 15:19

I think I can make a circular Rifkin here and play Barbican, if I'm reading de Souza right. Do correct me if I'm wrong.

AlbertJadoono · 20/11/2013 16:12

exceptional use of de Souza S5(A)(vii) for the Rifkin Cannock, I expect nothing less from you.

I'm going to play my Tardis and go for - Aldwych

TheHeadlessLadyofCannock · 20/11/2013 16:44

Heavens, a Tardis in a Tetrahedic game! That's a gamble, Albert, but if anyone can pull it off it's you.

St James's Park should keep us all happy and out of the Nantwich Segment, for now anyway.

MooncupGoddess · 20/11/2013 21:18

Love the Tardis, Albert.

I'm going to gyre (or do I mean gimble; my sources are conflicting) across to Hornchurch.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 20/11/2013 21:20

Seven Sisters

MiniMonty · 21/11/2013 02:27

I propose a new convention.

but bear with me...

Once all the red wine is gone, once all the port has been quaffed and when there is nothing in the fridge but stupid 5% Lambrini, I propose the "Under Bubble Convention" which insists that if a player makes a move in these circumstances he/she must first attempt Sloane Square and if that is unavailable (or blocked) must sleep on the District line until Upminster.

My move:

Upminster

MiniMonty Thu 21-Nov-13 02:27:07

I think this says it all. Amazingly your move is not only acceptable but genius. Upminster to Waterloo for a three-quarter bind.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 21/11/2013 18:03

Hey ho. Citing the Lindquist Protocol of 1964 - always useful on a Thursday - I offer you

Vauxhall

AlbertJadoono · 22/11/2013 13:04

niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice maud

Now, IIRC Steepleford allows a turnwise pootle, after a Lindquist, into Embankment

TheHeadlessLadyofCannock · 22/11/2013 14:17

I'm going to say Greenford. Elegant, non?

AlbertJadoono · 22/11/2013 14:20

tres elegant. Cannock et felicitaition pour le 600ieme message.

Malheuresement je suis dans Nidd.
