here you go

OP posts:
misdee · 26/06/2006 20:22

panic-ing slightly about getting round london by myself with dd3.

will i need to take any pictures with me?

lanismum · 26/06/2006 20:52

misdee, iv never had to take any pics to a casting, but somebody whos had more than my dd might have had to, am sure one of them will be along later.
whereabouts in london is the casting? if you have to use the tube i can only advise you use a maclaren or similar style buggy, a million times easier than a big bulky 3 wheeler as i found out!

perfumelady · 26/06/2006 20:53

misdee no what you mean london is like a maze, i have found this site great you can plan your route by train bus or car then you click on map and it give you a map of route from a to be and it tells you exactly how long and how many miles the journey will take. www.rail.co.uk

strawberry yes it was me are you a member of starnow.com it was on there that i saw it, if you are not i can apply and in the message box i will give them your email if you like? just let me know

yummymummy21 will look forward to chating

mummy2toby have you not thought about maybe getting someone to back you, a close relative. cause believe me if you leave it to long someone will come up with the idea, i had the idea years ago about a travel stairgate and like you i didn't have a clue where to start so i left it (but kept thinking about it.) and about three years later there it was a travel stairgate,i was gutted if only i had got it patented, don't leave it, if you truely beleive in your product take the risk.

lanismum · 26/06/2006 20:59

also with a lot of buses in central london ,you have to have a ticket before getting on the bus, there are machines at the bus stops, and they only take the exact amount, and they never work, and the drivers can get really arsey about it (normally in the west end,)so id advise getting a travel card before hand. also a lot of buses only allow 1 buggy on, so you might have to fold it.

mrratty · 26/06/2006 21:39

If you're travelling around London it's worth getting an oyster card as it makes travel cheaper than paying cash for individual buses.

mrratty · 26/06/2006 21:59

I had never seen starnow.com, it looks like a good site. I saw a 2 year old from America who is obviously entered into a lot of beauty pagents she looks really plastic.
Izzy, has your daughter ever been offered any work from being on that site as being free it seems like a good deal as there is nothing to lose.

perfumelady · 26/06/2006 22:19

mum2toby here is some light bedtime reading for you, hope it helps.

Cyan >> hope all comes well for you very soon.

Perfume >> I dont know how it would work with star now would i have to ask carole first do you think. That would just be such a lovely job for dd.

yackertyyack · 27/06/2006 10:08

Izz >>> Just realised my message didn't make sense!!! Do MOT invite the little man for an interview or do they just take him on because he is so little????

perfumelady · 27/06/2006 10:46

strawberry, that is a good point why don't you email get noticed media and say that you are really interested and that your daughter fits the breif but could they contact your agency if they are interested and give them agency number and web address that way you hopefully get the casting and agency is kept happy.

yackerty i thought it made sence either that or you and me are on the same wave length

strawberrymilkshake · 27/06/2006 10:53

cheers perfume what has your dd got to do for interview with carol, my dd said a poem.
