I would be interested to know if anyone thinks it's too much or too little. There are 4 of us in a 3 bed semi, have boiler and gas fire and that's it.

I have a (big) 3 bed terrace, with boiler and radiators etc and pay £34 iirc.

£50?

desperateSCOUSEstrife · 11/04/2006 15:14

we pay £40 tops in the winter

Pinotmum · 11/04/2006 15:15

Think they're putting me up to £75.00 a month from £40.00. Gits!

pepperpots · 11/04/2006 15:15

I pay 38 a month have a fair size 3 bed terrace i'd guess 65 pound?

Piffle · 11/04/2006 15:15

About £30 if you have no radiators?

waterfalls · 11/04/2006 15:15

We pay between £30 -£40

waterfalls · 11/04/2006 15:15

That includes heating

desperateSCOUSEstrife · 11/04/2006 15:16

DelGirl · 11/04/2006 15:17

I currently pay £47 for a 4 bed. Heating, water & cooking.

threelittlebabies · 11/04/2006 15:23

Sorry yes have central heating Blush

Used to be £27.50, went up in Oct to £57 per month and now going up to £81.50 per month!!! Shock

Pay electricity and gas service on top of that.

Feel robbed tbh!

spacecadet · 11/04/2006 15:25

cece · 11/04/2006 15:28

why not change supliers? uswitch.co.uk and there are some others so you can check out if anyone is cheaper!

Blackduck · 11/04/2006 15:28

Way too much IMHO - I paid 190 for the last quarter and the heating was on nearly all day every day...

fuzzywuzzy · 11/04/2006 15:29

that is far too much, we have a three bed house, and we don't pay that much for gas for a quarter....That's crazy are you paying for the entire street or what???

threelittlebabies · 11/04/2006 15:29

definitely will do that, but still owe them £300 apparently- how, as we pay direct debit, is beyond me

See I knew it couldn't be right, even though BG tried to convince me otherwise. Am convinced gas meter is haemorraging gas, but they won't send anyone round to check, just suggested we do a 7 day reading (i.e. take reading monday and then the following monday)

I know I'm a SAHM atm, but rarely have heating on when kids have gone to bed, and if I come in with dd asleep in the pram and all wrapped up (which often happens) then I don't put it on either. Have turned boiler to lowest setting and radiators to highest at BG suggestion, but am freezing Sad

WE pay about £50/month for hot water & heating using heating oil, 4 bed det. house.
When we were in a gas-fired boiler 3 bed semi (only 2 years ago) we only paid £15 for the heating+hot water. :(
I wanted to start a thread asking how much other people pay, when I figured out £50/month recently it seemed outrageous, but maybe not...?

Pinotmum · 11/04/2006 15:33

Sorry Blush meant to type £57.00 not £75.00.

spacecadet · 11/04/2006 15:37

it might be worth while doing the 7 day meter reading, your bill sounds astronimal, my quarterly oil bill isnt that high and oil prices are through the roof at the mo.

kid · 11/04/2006 15:37

Sounds too much to me. I'm glad we don't have gas anymore, just electrity at this house. We pay £68 per month and that is for heating, hot water and cooker.

spacecadet · 11/04/2006 15:38
