izzy-has she been checked for glue ear? i had this when i was little, it was found when i had lots of ear infections, i had to have an op to put grommetts (sp) in.

cyan · 09/04/2006 23:07

well the eustachian tubes and the lining of the lungs are all made of the same tissue which is why she prob has recurrent problems. its the same with ds and I. I suffered terribly as a child was in and out of hospital for weeks at a time, which was awful. The only thing which seemed to help alleviate my asthma was when I was a competitive swimmer, I was training 5 times a week for 3 hours a session, any health was fantastic.

cyan · 09/04/2006 23:15

not telling you to do this but an alternative therapy that is about is iridology, im not sure whether it is a quack therapy but basically an iridologist can distinguish health weaknesses in a person by studying their irises, they cant diagnose unless a qualified physician/GP but can pinpoint inherent weaknesses in the body. im going for acupuncture on my neck on fri Smile

cyan · 09/04/2006 23:17

well actually having a consultation as my neck has been hurting for weeks, and every time I turn to the left it feels painful which worries me when im driving and trying to observe the loons on the road round here,

izzyrubi · 09/04/2006 23:24

Funny enough I was looking for a homeopath now, I'll try to get an appointment with the closest, was talking to my dad and he said that my little brother (hes 15) has being treated with homeopathy since he was born and he has never had antibiotics...
I read about the grommets, that's what the south african doctor we went seeing suggested so I might just ask the gp tomorrow, but I doubt they will do it, not sure why but I just don't think they take it seriously Sad

cyan · 09/04/2006 23:31

well i went to oriental city today and came back with lots of alternative stuff! im a sucker for it really, bought some slimming tea!!!! the lady said its supposed to help with digestion best do the amount i just paid for a box of tea! homeopathy is treating like for like have heard it can have very good results Smile some people are dubious about alternative medicine/therapy but i think don't knock something until you've tried it! iz really hope the little lady feels better Smile i sometimes use aloe vera stuff, when ive had a wax found that aloe vera soothing spray is much better than the stuff my mate put on me.

izzyrubi · 09/04/2006 23:38

Cyan >> I believe in alternative medicine just as much as conventional, maybe even more seeing that conventional medicine really isn't doing much for us... I include myself because I have been having horrible back problems for about 3 years and just because I'm young doctors don't seem to take me seriously... it agravates me!
Anyway I better go get some sleep seeing that we will probably have a terrible night.
Thanks you both for all the advice :) and sorry everyone else for talking about stuff not related to modelling!!

We have not been to one as i am new but if you go to the website www.notapushymum.com they have pages telling what you can expect at a casting. If i was you just make sure you wear comfortable shoes and take loads of magazines and some snacks to eat.
