Damn! How do you know? Is there a top 500?

Actually don't really care as is a trad. type name not something way out so doesn't matter IMO

Tinker · 06/01/2004 14:33

Argh, that wasn't clear was it? Meant a name nearly the same as your little girl's is in.

CountessDracula · 06/01/2004 14:35

Ah that doesn't count! Has to be the same name!

That would be like me saying that Tanker was in there so your name is

Tinker · 06/01/2004 14:38

I only notice because it's a lovely name!!!

aloha · 06/01/2004 14:44

Where do I click to get the full list and not just the summary?? Please???

CountessDracula · 06/01/2004 14:45

So Tinker are you changing to Tanker if you think it's so lovely

(thanks btw xx)

Tinker · 06/01/2004 14:45

aloha - The Govt Stats link right at the bottom - then the link on the right side of the page

Tinker · 06/01/2004 14:46

Bit too descriptive, I'd be outing myself

CountessDracula · 06/01/2004 15:05

Someone posted a really good link recently but I can't find the thread, you could type in a name and it tells you how many babies have been christened with that name in the past year. I had great fun with it! Can anyone else remember which thread it was on?

CountessDracula · 06/01/2004 15:05

sorry registered not christened

aloha · 06/01/2004 15:08

Thanks! Found it. My name is getting worryingly popular... and ds is mid-table. I never wanted to give him a particularly unusual name though. Tegan??? Where did that come from?

zebra · 06/01/2004 15:12

I think it's on the Bounty Site, Countess D, could search Mumsnet for the link.

CountessDracula · 06/01/2004 15:35

Isn't Tegan in Neigbours or Home & Away or something?c

SpringChicken · 06/01/2004 15:37

We really like Tegan and Regan - obviously one or the other

CountessDracula · 06/01/2004 15:40

Regan reminds me of the Sweeney - Guv guv guv!!

Tegan don't like I'm afraid (but ignore me I don't like way out names much!)

CountessDracula · 06/01/2004 15:40

Though Tegan Regan Chicken sounds good....

Tegan - welsh - meaning Beautiful
Tiegan - cornish - can't remember meaning.
My dd's name is Tegan!

bluebear · 06/01/2004 17:21

And I don't watch home and away - Tegan was the name of one of Dr WHo's assistants though,

CountessDracula · 06/01/2004 17:37

Sorry is way out for me! I had parents who wanted to call us odd names and fortunately didn't in the end, but I always think how terrible my brother's life would have been if he was called Quatermass Ignatius!

melsy · 06/01/2004 17:56

is this registered thingy site you are looking for CountessD.

fisil · 06/01/2004 18:52

It's not working. I can't wait to find out how many babies registered with ds' name in 2003. I reckon maximum 10. I like the fact that it's unusual, but then our chosen girls name (and we'll probably stick with it) is nearly in the top 20, and I'm happy about that too.
