a lentil weaving hippy freak?... In other words, oh I don't know, become a 'fibre artist' and 'sell'

if i had to do it over again, i'd have gone for the money.

sorry, but being skint sucks.

QE2 · 31/03/2006 23:14

If I were you I'd go for the pearl necklace.

moondog · 31/03/2006 23:15

Actually,you can be both.
I am a bit of a twinsetter at work and a lentil weaver at home.
FA,you are a clever girl.Your intelligence shines in every post.
You could do anything you wanted.
Smile

edam · 31/03/2006 23:16

Adults I know with lentil-weaving mothers seem rather exasperated by them. If that's any help.

Mind you, my mother was high-powered professional who wound up with a nervous breakdown. Fate comes up and smacks you sometimes whatever decisions you make.

fastasleep · 31/03/2006 23:17

Blush Seriously moondog? You really think that, really? You know I don't have a C to my name, or even a D, in anything and I'm ashamed really Sad

paolosgirl · 31/03/2006 23:17

I would love to be someone who really doesn't care about money, and follow my dreams. Sadly, I hate being skint (although we're far from rich now!), so I'd probably go for the twin set and pearls.

If you do decide to become a fibre artist, then I wish you all the best Smile

fastasleep · 31/03/2006 23:18

Can you have a 'career' and still have time to be a lentil weaving maniac? :)

I think I exasperate everyone already, esepcailly DH who I think would probably leave me if I didn't get a proper job!!

OP posts:
moondog · 31/03/2006 23:19

Yes FA.
You should be thinking about a degree once your children are a bit older.
I think all your musing on your sexuality is an outlet for your intellect at present.
You need to use it in a more disciplined way.
I think academia would suit you.

Ledodgy · 31/03/2006 23:21

Yes it would be fine FA I think lentil weaving hippy freaks are great better than chavs. Oh and look at the Liverpool thread will you? Do you think you could join us in grandmas on Monday?

fastasleep · 31/03/2006 23:22

I have no middle ground. I'm an all or nothing girl..

fibre artist or psychologist..... why do I have no middle ground why!?

OP posts:
fastasleep · 31/03/2006 23:22

Sorry E! Hadn't noticed any posts on the Liv thread!

OP posts:
spidermama · 31/03/2006 23:24

I don't think the two are mutually exclusive. In fact I think following your dreams fully and bravely should lead to ... well if not abundance, then enough.

That's what it is wharfy I can't lose my spark it's me if I lost that omg who would I be?!

OP posts:
QE2 · 31/03/2006 23:29

fa - you won't lose your spark - you're the sort of girl who despite waht life throws at you, will never lose that. Maybe you need to wait til ds and dd are a bit older then put your heart and soul into a career. While your babes are little they need you so you can put everything into home life.

Your time will come, you are still young. Sorry for the waffle but I am sleep deprived. Smile

fastasleep · 31/03/2006 23:31

I'm weird and anaemic which is making me feel hiiiiigh duuuuuuuude

I had the funniest talk with a certain someone named Erica about you Grin

OP posts:
QE2 · 31/03/2006 23:33

Ha ha, yes I know you did, she told me earlier! My msn is knackered so can't get you just now but will get it sorted tomorrow!

fwiw imo you are not in the slightest bit confused about your sexuality.....

fastasleep · 31/03/2006 23:34

I am not, no. Grin Wink

did she recount the conversation exactly or just give you embarrassing highlights?

That woman could get blood from a stone just by smiling at it!

OP posts:
QE2 · 31/03/2006 23:35

No she didn't have time to tell me anything AS A COUPLE OF MY LONG LOST MATES TURNED UP JUST AS i STARTED TO CHAT TO HER.

aM INTRIGUED NOW THO.

Oh balls, sorry for the caps Grin

fastasleep · 31/03/2006 23:39

OhhhHhhhHh I fancy some emotional blackmail now Grin

Next question would it be horrendous to attempt to become a psychologist (ten years training) would my kids feel lonely and unloved? IT's all so confusing, and I am a serial planner aheader I can't feel comfortable unless I know what I'm doing in 5 years time (even though I know it'll have changed by next week!)

OP posts:
QE2 · 31/03/2006 23:44

fa, if it's something that you truly want to do, then do it. Fit it round the kids. They won't get neglected. Best to do it than not, then you can never regret not trying in 10 years time when you look back. If you don't it will eat away at you and you will become more unfulfilled.

So, c'mon, spill.

fastasleep · 31/03/2006 23:46

I can't spill here, the goss would be neverending

she knows all.

OP posts:
QE2 · 31/03/2006 23:49

All???

Really??

fastasleep · 31/03/2006 23:52

Gulp indeed!

All she did was look at me in a kinly way (across the internet even!!) what am I going to do with myself!!!

She thought it was bloody hilarious..
