a lentil weaving hippy freak?... In other words, oh I don't know, become a 'fibre artist' and 'sell' <ha!! Paintings, embroidery, bead art, that kind of stuff and never earn any money... rather than going out and getting a *proper* job... If you were right at the beginning of your education, you could go in whichever direction you want, what would you do? (obviously any direction that doesn't cost the absolute Earth!) Would you be a poor artistic hippy mum that floats about in a happy haze although you can't afford next month's bills.. Or would you become uber practical and get a good job with good prospects and wear a twin set and pearls?!
