I want to share my experience of GOOD customer service

All too often the bad is highlighted and the good ignored.

I ordered some stuff from ELC, which arrived today. Unfortunatley, one item was missing (an item which I wanted to give as a gift in a few days time). I called them up and the man on the phone apologised and has sent another one out, next day delivery, so I should have it tomorrow.

Happy days Grin

yes yes it would have been nice to have all the items in the delivery, but I am very happy with how my problem was resolved

YABU. I only like threads I can be outraged about, or at the very least, have a strong opinion on Wink.

haha, Ill start a 'Leavethebastardworthy' one tomorrow to balance it all out.

Yanbu - I had great service from ELC a few years ago - my child had a really complicated model from there which we built using the enclosed instructions. It got taken to bits months later (pain in arse kids do not care that it took nearly an hour to build!!!) and we couldn't find the instructions rendering the thing useless - really impossible to build without the instructions. I went to the local store and asked if there was a website or phone number I could request a set from and the assistant found the same model in the store, opened the brand new packaging and took the instructions away to their office to photocopy for me. It was great as it was an extremely busy Saturday and it took her a whille.

see, these sorts of thing need to be recognised Grin

My DMum always tells everyone of the time she went into HMV and the sales staff took her from stand to stand collecting up all the dvds/cds on her christmas shopping list, took her to the till and dug out a discount booklet, scanning all the relevant vouchers so she not only had good service but a much cheaper shop too.

You should write to their head office and thank them, even name the chap you spoke to if you know his name. It will go on his record and he'll be dead chuffed.

I always write when I get good service. People are very quick to write complaints and they really appreciate it when customers take the time to say nice things about them. I think it encourages good service, actually.

Youre right. Sadly, I didnt catch his name, howeve we did chat about how he is.moving to my city next week to start uni here, so pretty identifiable!

I had great service at the weekend in Charles Klinkard when buying DDs school shoes. They were heaving and the sales girl was fantastic, really patient and helpful, we had her full attention and I was super impressed as Dds feet are hard to fit.

I did spot the manager on the way out and made sure I let him know what a credit she was.

Hi, we've moved this out of AIBU and into Other Subjects. Thanks.
