I'm praying for you Ailidh and asking God to make you well and strong. I'm praying for your family and friends who are being so strong for you. My family are praying for you and all these people on mumsnet and Facebook around the world are continuously willing you to be well, to get up yet again and keep on. God always listens when people pray together. Sending you love and hugs and I'm checking here every day for the updates. You can do it, with everyone's help you can be well. xxx

I need to go to bed now but I was looking for something to try and sum up my prayers for Aillidh and for all of us as we wait this out. I found Psalm 138. Part of which reads:

'As soon as I pray, you answer me;
you encourage me by giving me strength.

Every king in all the earth will thank you, Lord,
for all of them will hear your words.
Yes, they will sing about the Lord?s ways,
for the glory of the Lord is very great.
Though the Lord is great, he cares for the humble,
but he keeps his distance from the proud.

Though I am surrounded by troubles,
you will protect me from the anger of my enemies.
You reach out your hand,
and the power of your right hand saves me.
The Lord will work out his plans for my life?
for your faithful love, O Lord, endures forever.
Don?t abandon me, for you made me.'

Father God, hear our prayers.

DandyDan · 04/07/2012 23:12

Nothing can separate us from the love of God.

My thoughts and prayers with Ailidh, her family and friends, and those caring for her tonight.

I just wish there was something I can do as does everyone else on this thread. A total stranger has never affected me as much as aillidh, expat and the rest of their family. I hold her in my thoughts and my heart and just hope and pray she survives this and gets well. She has so much living to do, its just not right.

kohl · 04/07/2012 23:23

love and love and love to you expat and Aillidh.
