Phew! I shouted at the screen then before I saw it was you. Oh dear Misdee. Its that time of year unfortunately isn't it, but you seem to have had more than your fair share I'm sure.

dd3 has been ill since last tuesday. she woke up in the afternoon with a raging temp and threw up all over me. she threw up on and off for about 3 days, then the diahorrea started. only this morning she did a very loose poo, but i have finally got her back onto solid food today, with no further explosions. (she has only had fluids for the last week as each attempt at giving her solid food ended in vomiting or diahorrea). MIL has been moaning that i dont see dh enough.

at your MIL, misdee - she is being ridiculous and unfair, try and take no notice.

Flossam · 15/02/2006 21:44

Don't want to add salt to your wounds Misdee, but just to make sure you know not to take DD in untill she has been d and v free for 48hrs. Tough I know but the last thing Peter or his neighbours would need atm, I know you know. xxx

nutcracker · 15/02/2006 21:46

Can MIL have Dd3 whilst you visit Peter then seeing as she is that bothered ??

misdee · 15/02/2006 21:46

i want to go in tomorrow to stay overnight, but seeing as the last explosion was this morning, i cant really can i?

i dont want to put the whole unit into isolation.

no

JanH · 15/02/2006 21:48

Are you still breastfeeding so you can't go without her? Could you express enough or isn't there someone to leave her with?

Flossam · 15/02/2006 21:49

not worth it misdee. your mil should be concerned with your and peters health and recognise you are doing the best all round (although it sure as hell won't feel like it)

mummytosteven · 15/02/2006 21:50

agree with Floss. My mum had D & V just when DS was born, so I had to ask the MWs when it would be OK for her to come and see us. MWs said 2 days after last D and V.

misdee · 15/02/2006 21:50

still breastfeeding. she'll be fine during the day with food and water tho. might phone my mum in the morning and ask.

nutcracker · 15/02/2006 21:50

Sorry, forgot you were breastfeeding.

misdee · 15/02/2006 22:03

so i have been right to not go in? i am not a selfish moo?
the thing is, if i had left the kids with a babysitter when they are ill like dd3 was tuesday-friday, to visit peter then i would've got moaned at that as the kids should be my prioity.

OP posts:
Flossam · 15/02/2006 22:04

Are you sure you don't have it? Have you had it/ waiting for it?

misdee · 15/02/2006 22:04

i dont have it. neither do the other 2.

OP posts:
misdee · 15/02/2006 22:05

tho the other 2 are off colour.

Flossam · 15/02/2006 22:07

Ohh, Misdee. If I were you I'd leave it for the week. DD3 will want her mummy if she is poorly, and is it fair to leave her with other people who might catch it? Also if DD1 and DD2 don't seem right. How do you feel about not going?

misdee · 15/02/2006 22:08

guilty as hell.
