I have been "treading the boards" for a while now .... forgive me if I am wrong and PLEASE don't think that I am insensitive .... but there are a couple of posts which I have recently read that TBH don't ring true .....
Anyone out there smella rat / troll ???

IF I am wrong - then I am sorry

Forestfly · 24/11/2003 22:03

You are so brave, this is going to be one hell of a thread!

roscoe · 24/11/2003 22:05

Can't say for sure but I'd like to think they were real...not that I would wish anyone to go through the stuff in Chameleon's post.

fio2 · 24/11/2003 22:07

OOOOOoooooooo must have missed those threads.......

just ignore them

jmg · 24/11/2003 22:08

Oh dear - I'm ducking down behind me PC waiting for the s* to hit the fan

charlize · 24/11/2003 22:08

To be honest I was thinking the same as rollercoaster. It just doesn't ringtrue to me.
Too many references to sex going on by new members.

rollercoaster · 24/11/2003 22:11

Thank you charlize ... there is a god

I know sex is good and important .... but whats wrong with
*CHristmas cookie cutters
*Engorged breasts
*Episiotomies

Forestfly · 24/11/2003 22:15

I just read chamelions thread and it sound pretty plausable to me, people do get in a rut of attracting a certain type of man. If i where you i'd get this thread deleted. If shes not told this story to anyone before she won't now if she thinks people won't believe her. She may have been raped and women don't tell because they think people won't believe

roscoe · 24/11/2003 22:15

what a combination!

fio2 · 24/11/2003 22:16

I read chamelion's post too, I dont think she is a troll

roscoe · 24/11/2003 22:17

I meant rollercoaster's choice of threads! ooops!

rollercoaster · 24/11/2003 22:18

That's why I am sad IF I have upset people. These posters ARE getting a sympathetic hearing and the advice being given by other posters is valuable and important.... and extremely supportive
Again I am sorry..

TECH if you feel that I have overstepped the mark - PLEASE delete this thread.

rollercoaster · 24/11/2003 22:20

With that I shall bid you all farewell ... I took the risk and I am about to be shot down in flames.

OP posts:
Forestfly · 24/11/2003 22:21

I don't think you should go i was just getting my point across

popsycal · 24/11/2003 22:22

agree with rollercoaster about tomboy...and possibly simplesimon......
but with chameleon..while i wish that it wasn;t true for her sake, i would echo what forestfly said

Clarinet60 · 24/11/2003 23:15

Haven't checked out tomboy, but it is being suggested that simplesimon is a troll. I think that might be the best end.

charliecat · 24/11/2003 23:18

I thought the title of simplesimons thread and then the first post of his came across as peadophilish somehow? Spelling i know

charliecat · 24/11/2003 23:19

Droile agrees?

Clarinet60 · 24/11/2003 23:27

I do. Sorry, I'm being a bit obscure tonight. Trying to be tactful.

elena2 · 24/11/2003 23:27

I definitely agree about SS.
All the info he gave was starting to conflict and wasn't ringing true... and he never gave any updates ie. 'I tried this and...'

charliecat · 24/11/2003 23:28

Thats ok i was typing as you were i think and i read your message and thought thats what you were getting at. The title and the post didnt match. What did confusing sex have to do with his wife not responding???!!!

Clarinet60 · 24/11/2003 23:30

I feel a right tit for responding to him so much.

charliecat · 24/11/2003 23:33

I wondered whether it was me that had smelt a whiff but ive just looked at the thread again and some folks have whiffed it too. And i thought i had nothing better to do...why why why??!

Angeliz · 24/11/2003 23:54

i had to look and i do think ss 's title didn't seem to match the topic but then mine often don't. As for Chameleon, i think it looks so shocking cause it's all written down and condensed, (not that it's not shocking!) But i know if i tried to write my past down in a short story form it would be quite shocking! I hadn't actually seen her post but was compelled to look after reading this! I can relate to alot of what she's saying about the guilt of the past, as once i had my dd my past prayed on my mind!.(nothing too awful, just a few regrets!) I agree with forestfly though, i think she deserves the benifit of the doubt as if she's genuine, she would do well to get chatting on here! I feel like i've found a whole new circle of friends in the last few months

Davros · 24/11/2003 23:57

rollercoaster, no flames at all - brave! Agree about Tomcat. I'm not used to this type of internet group and I (naively) think that access to the Talk section could be restricted to those who have subscribed (£££ to MN....... but maybe that would just change the whole culture of the thing. SOme of you must be more used to this type of forum, what do you think? Too exclusive and cumbersome?
