cyan · 09/02/2006 13:51

7s just checked this before going out why dont you try trainline.com? that way it can tell you how to get there or go to aa.co.uk and use their route planner for the golf!!! its good i use it all the time and its door to door directions

cyan · 09/02/2006 13:53

just out of good spiritedness, have had a look on thetrainline.com and totally's journey is best way 2 changes you'll have to do and will take approx 2 1/2 hours

perfumelady · 09/02/2006 14:21

7's just do it, it will gain your confidence for when you have to do your (hopefully) regular trips to london for jobs and castings. maybe get someone to go with you, look at it as a nice day trip out.

perfumelady · 09/02/2006 14:24

just had a thought is there not an agency in kent? or manchester is that not nearer to you, sorry geography never was my thing.

totallyfloaty35 · 09/02/2006 14:27

Perfume,do you know how much notice you have to give U/A if you want to leave? how is your other dd doing with acting agency?

perfumelady · 09/02/2006 14:39

totallyfloaty35 no i don't know how much notice you need i will try and find the paper work and let you know. my dd1 hasn't had any luck with the acting agency i think maybe i've picked one that isn't to well known, but i think i might just put her on the stagecoach agency, the acting agencies are even harder to suss out than the modelling ones, are you going down that route, is that why your leaving u/a

7777777 · 09/02/2006 15:03

im just going on that address you gave me cyan to find out how long journey is and cost etc. cheers.

perfume, think cheekykids agency is bexleyheath, kent. manchester is miles away!when i was reading other thread was it you that paid £116 to models direct, did you ever hear anything?can see why you got sucked in, their colour brochure is very attractive aint it

Mummy2Toby · 09/02/2006 15:19

Cheeky Kidz is in Chislehurst, Kent.

I have my appointment with them on 25th

7777777 · 09/02/2006 15:22

good luck mummy2toby, im umming and arrrring about mot interview, if i pay for my mate to come and we'd have my elder ds and her dd coz of half term itl cost a small fortune!

totallyfloaty35 · 09/02/2006 15:27

Perfume, dont know if leaving u/a,but dd keeps being asked if she would like to audition for film or theatre stuff by her drama school.Cant say yes as she sole agent at mo.

alliep30 · 09/02/2006 15:27

i'm going to MOT next fri... will drive, just off M25, about an hour from me

totallyfloaty35 · 09/02/2006 15:30

7s Take the train, you will be ok,you have to go into london for castings etc anyway. Its a very straight forward journey, and theres lots of staff at victoria and euston to point you in right direction.Be brave and you will wonder why you ever found it daunting after you've done it.

perfumelady · 09/02/2006 15:56

totallyfloaty35 email me if you get five minutes

perfumelady · 09/02/2006 16:00

7's yes that was me, just wish i'd found mumsnet before taking the plundge, that is why i'm so suspicious of any angency that charges over £100, but hey thats life, you live and learn

misdee · 09/02/2006 16:00

cheekykidz also want to see serena on the 25. am just going to see the route to get there, via car or train. and sit on it for 24hours.

perfumelady · 09/02/2006 16:01

agency

alliep30 · 09/02/2006 16:22

sorry 7's, i.m answering you on the piss take thread..

tigeryuan · 09/02/2006 17:18

hi, just got back home. ds is still sleeping in his pram!! it went okay i think as got nothing to compare to.. it took around an hour for the shoot and got changed clothes twice..

mythumbelinas · 09/02/2006 17:26

aaahhh .. well done to your ds

tigeryuan · 09/02/2006 17:29

does anyone know that will i get some photos from them?

mythumbelinas · 09/02/2006 17:33

7's i know how you feel about catching train. I've never caught one on my own .. wouldn't know what to do! I tend to drive. I drove to MOT and it was actually really simple to get to .. from m25 get onto a41 and it's off a41 .. didn't MOT say they would send you info about getting there?
If you do go by train, there is the taxi fare to and from the station aswell.

I did decide to take the tube for a job once. I asked the london underground assistant if he could help me with my buggy and he gave a blunt 'no'. Had plenty of help from fellow passengers tho.

thorntons · 09/02/2006 17:35

Hi Tigeryuan..how did shoot go? Whereabouts did you go for shoot? Re pics dd did a shoot for Junior Pregnancy and baby and photographer gave us a couple of polaroids ,However that is not the norm. We had to buy a copy of magazine just like everyone else.

perfumelady · 09/02/2006 17:36

tigeryuan ask your agency, because when my dd did a magazine shoot she got a couple of pictures. they emailed them to agency who forwarded them onto me, if you don't ask you probably won't get.

perfumelady · 09/02/2006 17:39

totallyfloaty35 did you get my email?

7777777 · 09/02/2006 17:54

mythumbelina, my mum is trying to put me off becoz of travelling that far with ds and is worried bout underground! shes making me feel like a pushy mum!its only an interview for godsake. i do love my ma dearly by the way, shes normally always right about everything. where did you travel in your car from then, ive never driven on the m25!dont know wot would be worse train or car!im a nervous wreck just thinking about it.

perhaps i just wont bother
