tinkerbellchelle · 08/02/2006 12:52

Im not really sure, we turned rascals down when we were first looking and B&B said no. I might just stick with BK for now?
My friend hasn't heard back from NC yet, just wondered what they are like?

Think for now just for the ease might stick with BK and see if anything happens x

cyan · 08/02/2006 12:53

with regards to norrie carr, i know they are a well respected agency. they have been in the industry for many many years since the 60s in fact! they run professionally, but i have always found them v brusque and a teeny scary. they charge for the assessment fee £20 and they also then charge between £60 and £70 for the photoshoot and then you have to pay to go into the model book on top of that. so costs are high. they do promote your baby before they go to shoot but you must send in photos with baby with no top on and a white background. also even after going to the assessment there are still no guarantees, they decide after the photoshoot whether your Lo is successful. I waited about 2 weeks til I found out, but i put that down to ds surname beginning with S! they do put kids forward but after speaking to someone i found out that they have a relatively high number of kids on their books

cyan · 08/02/2006 12:55

tink what about KL didnt you have an assessment with IK as well?

cyan · 08/02/2006 12:59

i know thye work with calpol and elc whihc is what ds was put forward for. and alo they put kids forward for higgies campaign. its a shame i didnt find this website before really as just before xmas they asked me if i knew anyone with a baby aged 0-3 months as they were looking for babies newborn to take on their books.
my aunt found out about the agency because she read a feature on norrie herself and she said that there is a shortage of boys in the industry, dont know how far that fairs now seeing as this was 5 years ago but judging by people ive spoken to and mums on here girls outweigh the boys by far!

tinkerbellchelle · 08/02/2006 13:00

yeah we were meant to meet IK last sunday but we didn and need to rearrange. Are they a good agency?

I have heard a few people saying about AK are they any good?
I might try KL need to print off some pics for that one

cyan · 08/02/2006 13:00

sorry my spelling is awful! should have said huggies

cyan · 08/02/2006 13:02

Just go for it tink, got nothing to lose and at the end of the day you are still with BK. what about MOT as well? but everyone seems to think they take on kids that are a bit older. but i went to school with someone whose ds did work for toys r us for them and he was only 6 months at the time.

tinkerbellchelle · 08/02/2006 13:03

I'll have an email around and I might try NC as well just to see we'll see what happens

cyan · 08/02/2006 13:04

i was impressed with IK and so was izzy, but the main concern for me was that they havent been long established as the rest of the agencies and i think it was perfumelady who pointed out some valid points, i cant remember what she said entirely but maybe you should scroll down and see. it wouldnt be a bad thing to go and meet them and see for yourself. you dont pay to meet them.

cyan · 08/02/2006 13:05

see what they say and let us know how is you little man today?

tinkerbellchelle · 08/02/2006 13:08

He's at nannies for the day
yeah I'll give IK a ring and book appointment, and then maybe try AK, NC, KL and maybe MOT. No harm in trying

thorntons · 08/02/2006 13:12
