I am about to make myself a housework routine

As this is too dull for words I would like to start with a full list of EVERY job that would possibly need to be done in the house including stuff that is done lots of times a day, daily, few times a week, weekly, monthly, every now and then etc etc

You get my drift

Would you help me get this definitive list together and add to it?

Copy the list and add to it then at the end of the thread I will have whole list together instead of having to pick from thread and make my own list

I can count the number of times I have ever wiped a skirting board or door frame on the fingers of one hand - only when I'm about to paint the damn things. You guys are MAD (or just cleaner than me)!

Great thread freshstart! Know exactly why you are doing it and although the list looks overwhelming, I bet it's good to have it down on paper (well, virtual paper ).

I'm going to do the same as you so keeping an eye on this thread

Only thing I do that isn't on the list (that I can remember anyway) is washing the top of ds's mattress (it unzips!) and cooking food for freezing (not sure if you do this for mindees?)

Oh yeah.........and wash the car - but dh does this!

I think you need 'dh' next to more of the stuff on your list!

I do freeze ahead for mindeeds and when the 6 month old starts will be freezing purees so have to allow time for that

Not sure how to get it from this list to some sort of workable schedule to remind me to get it done and have it spread out so its presentable all the time.

PPH - I always use bleach spray or antibacterial spray as Im super paranoid that I might poison one of the children I childmind!!

What about if you split the jobs up by each room of the house - with cooking as a separate task?
Or lists of jobs which need to be done on a daily, weekly, monthly basis etc (I think some of the things are a bit OTT too, I'm afraid!)

I don't mind helping to rewrite/reorganise the list.

I'd out hand washing clothes under a separate sub-heading- maybe once a week?
