pacinoFanOfBrusselsSprouts · 02/01/2006 20:34

Best pressie given to me and dh are Nigella Lawson's salad serving hand, absolutely love 'em! Also loved a giant box of Duchy Original Organic chocolate biscuits. Needless to say all gone.

Worst pressie - a shirt given to dh by his mum. Don't mean to sound ungrateful but was pretty hideous, thankfully from Next so exchanged for vouchers. That and a very cheap and nasty 'make your own espresso' set from BIL.

Most played with by dd:

Kinex for 3 year olds, fuzzy felts and some Disney Princess thing with a tiny rubber doll and various outfits.

Most played with by 13 year old dss - bugger all coz he got dragged to Gran Canaria by his birth mum on CHristmas night.

Hulababy · 02/01/2006 20:38

Barbie townhouse, car and swimming pool is DD's (3y8m) most played with present.

Closely followed by her new doll's pram.

The VTech VSmile games have gone down well too.

Posey · 02/01/2006 20:44

Dd - Tamagotchi

fullmoonfiend · 02/01/2006 21:39

ds1 (5) ELC guitar (with earplugs for me )
ds2 (8) another PS2 game (Yawn) and magnetix
dh - poker set
me - cosy slippers turns out to be top pressie cos my bloody i-pod has broken after only 3 days

Our two seem pretty keen on two hot wheels cars - they got one each in their stocking.

I think buying them the same thing went down well. But since DS is 4.10 and DD is 1.7 the suitable range is fairly limited. Although we did get his and hers bouncy balls with skulls on.

DD is also very taken with an embroidered red cord dress I picked up for her in the Next Sale.

ds (2): Flashing light up pen in its own case from Poundland.

me: Mayan music ball necklace which tinkles gently as you walk around. I'm blissed out, man

roisin · 02/01/2006 21:59

DS1 (8) is thrilled with his sonic screwdriver! and new GBA Game
DS2 loves his k'nex cogs

Posey · 02/01/2006 22:03

roisin - I thought the sonic screwdriver would've been more of a hit here. You never can tell!

roisin · 03/01/2006 00:11

Posey how old is he? DS1 thinks his is powered by batteries, but really it's powered by imagination.

Yesterday, for example, he used it to disable all the parked cars in the street! He also de-activated all the streetlamps. You just would not believe the amazing things it can do.

MarsLady · 03/01/2006 00:12

My ipod nano.

The DSs (Nintendos... not sons lol).

Everything edible went down incredibly well, and also the drinkables. Or should I say... especially the drinkables?

Gillian76 · 03/01/2006 00:14

DH is more in love with his Sony MP3 player than me.

Well maybe not

DS (6years old) loved his Knights Kingdom lego and Star Wars Transformers. He also got magnetix which he loved too. In fact, he loved all his presents ....

DD (23 months) wasn't really interested in anything except the manky second hand kiddies kitchen I got for her
