I like the chat when I'm working at home, it's like gossipping with my mates at work!

M2T · 31/10/2003 15:08

When I get a chance I love taking a bottle of wine upstairs and sitting at my PC whilst in one of the Mumsnet bars! It really feels like a girls night oot.. .. Thank goodness we still have imaginations!

Jemma7 · 31/10/2003 15:17

I agree countess and m2t, I enjoy the chat section. Its nice to know when you need a chat and feel a little down there is a listening ear on the other end of the computer.
I love having a laugh, a joke, and a good debate.

Rhubarb · 31/10/2003 15:25

Aw, I feel sorry for you all now! Do you not have any real friends!!!!

M2T · 31/10/2003 15:27

Eh..

think fast M2T or people will know you are really sad and unpopular<

........hmm.....

I have LOADS of friends! They sit around the PC with me.

As a relatively new MN-er I'd appreciate it if someone could tell me what the rules are about Chat and Other Subjects. I'd decided that "Chat" was for any non-specific subject, but that you had to be at your PC for a while (almost like a chatroom) whereas "Other Subjects" was same remit, but for people who would post, go away, and come back later to read replies. I don't know what the past arguments were about so I hope I'm not stirring things up by asking this.

Marthamoo - You are correct re Chat section. Also for light-hearted threads.... jokes etc etc.

'Other subjects' is where you have a gripe/question/problem.... whatever.... that doesn't fit under any of the other categories. It's like a Miscellaneous topic. For example a Debt problem.... or a question about your car? Or a gripe about bad customer care.... stuff like that. HTH.

M2T · 31/10/2003 15:34
