A really lovely thing to do with little ones on Christmas Eve.

My sister got this at a Christmas Fair last year and gave it to my dd.
Basically it was a net bag filled with porridge oats and glitter and tiny crafty sequin bits. It was tied with ribbon and had a note attached which said "On Christmas Eve before you go to bed, sprinkle this reindeer food onto your garden. The magic glitter sparkling in the moonlight and the smell of oats will guide Rudolf right to your home."
If its a cold and clear night with moonlight, it really does look magical.

Just another thing to start me blubbing....

we put sticky paper arrow up the stairs saying " this way to xxxx room", then before dp and i go to bed we get some glitter and go round the outline of dp's shoes all the way up the stairs so it looks like santa has walked up the stairs.

boring or sad?????
