Is it me or are some of them different now? I am sure that Fizz or Bella now sounds like one of the things from Story Makers. Or am I just getting sad now that I now notice these things

And Pui who used to do Cbeebies but became pregnant (perhaps she is a mumsnetter now?) Was Po in the Teletubbies! The outfits were something like 10 foot tall! Still haven't seen the one with the scary bear tho!

motherinferior · 17/10/2003 21:15

Bron, I'm glad you back me up about the rabbits. I keep telling dp and he keeps thinking I'm telling highly unconvincing porkies...

Is Simon the cute black one?????

suzywong · 26/10/2003 08:52

yeah poppyknot, those kids make you sit through the whole damn thing and then block the screen foro the only interesting part.
Bron, do you refer to Byron, and if so yes he is the cute black one and the only male on kids TV who is not camp as Christmas, which is perfetly OK it's just that mummies need a little something to pep them up after a dozen Justins and Cbeebies Chris's prancing about all day.

Does anyone else find Tikkabilla's Sarah-Jane annoying, especially when she 'sings' in a fake US accent? Don't mean to be bitchy but I think Bonnie Langford was her hero(ine).

suzywong · 26/10/2003 13:41

Yes I do. She would be the nightmare to sit next to on a long-haul flight. There's something really quiet Iffy about a grown woman mimicing a little girl so closely. I find her rather distasteful. And the black guy - is it Will - with his faux Sean Connery accent is on my hit list too.

Woah .... I really need to have a change of scene.

coppertop · 26/10/2003 13:52

Ah, that would be Paul aka Pipecleaner Head in our house. I really must get myself a life.

motherinferior · 26/10/2003 15:39

I personally am getting quite interested in the Secret Life of Balamory (need life AND to spend less time on Buffy fic sites). Anyone else agree with the theory I have aired before that Something Is Going On between PC Plum ('the campest character on telly' according to my sis) and Archie? Also that the tweedy schoolmistress is clearly a bit of a goer? I think the two in the sweetieshop are in fact bomb-making revolutionaries from the Balamory Independence Movement...and Edie McReadie is clearly an escapee from Even Cowgirls Get the Blues, with her marvellously butch song ('ah toot ma hawn'...

Oh dear. Must go to real fillum some time.

coppertop · 26/10/2003 15:48

Still waiting for the day when Miss Hoolie finds a 'rabbit' in that cupboard of hers. Yes Plummers DOES seem a bit too interested in Archie's sporran.

coppertop · 26/10/2003 15:58

How does Miss Hoolie get her hair to stick out like that? And has she been sewn into those clothes? Does Susie sell amphetamines to Josie Jump? Anyone?

bluecow · 27/10/2003 12:43

And why don't the people in Balamory change their clothes? Stinky lot.

I see Sarah Janes is in panto as Peter Pan with Phil from EastEnders this year!

coppertop · 27/10/2003 13:12

Eeeek! What a combination! The Balamory shop is a rip-off too. No one ever gets any change.

bluecow · 27/10/2003 16:33

I always think the guy who plays Archie looks a bit embarrassed about doing so.

Sadly, I do like PC Plum's singing voice. I think I need serious help.

LIZS · 27/10/2003 16:43

Digressing to Nick jr - is Stamper in You Do Too one of the Worms - Arnie or Barney ?!

How sad am I ?

suzywong · 27/10/2003 17:37

bluecow, I too think PC plum has a fine singing voice although he is facially unfortunate. I wouldn't let my kids within spitting distance of Archie. He worries me.

codswallop · 27/10/2003 18:11

I agree he is a perv

motherinferior · 27/10/2003 20:34

My dd1 told me I 'looked like Archie' the other day. Mind you I sing along to PC Plum, how sad is that???

Eowyn · 27/10/2003 20:56

Spooooky, my dd told me I looked like Archie about a week aho when I wore a vaguely tartan skirt. Least I hope that was the reason....

coppertop · 27/10/2003 21:40

dh thinks Auntie Mabel in 'Come Outside' is an ex-madam. It would explain the big house, the plane, and why every man she meets seems to know her name.

Philly · 27/10/2003 22:34

This thread has had me giggling all through I also have a bit of a thing for Balamory! On a different matter though is anybody as sad as me and watches Neighbours (not all the time)how can they keep pretending that Libby isn't pregnant she's huge and still everybody is studiouisly ignoring it!!!

bobsmum · 27/10/2003 22:46

Oh Philly - I'm so glad i'm not the only one! I've been wondering that for weeks now. Lots of camera shots from the neck up and poor Libby being made to carry heavy bags/big coats/anything to hide her middle. It was blatantly obvious the other week when she was swimming though. Have they written it into the script? I've missed the last week or so.

coppertop · 28/10/2003 06:48

I bet young Taj is getting worried! Unless of course the real father is Harold Bishop after Libby fell for his wig and his herbal muffins! I'm definitely spending too much time on this thread...

motherinferior · 28/10/2003 11:07

I have NO idea why dd1 told me I looked like Archie. I'm smallish with short red hair and hardly ever wear skirts at the moment.

Josie jump...yeah, highly unconvincing, isn't she. I reckon she's an undercover cop.
