Is it me or are some of them different now? I am sure that Fizz or Bella now sounds like one of the things from Story Makers. Or am I just getting sad now that I now notice these things

fimbles even

coppertop · 02/11/2003 22:19

I know the voice of the annoying Florrie has changed. Maybe lots of other people hated it too. Bessie sometimes does the end bit still. I must get out more....

charly · 02/11/2003 22:20

i hate the way that roly mo doesnt always do the story bit....
anyway - whose dd/ds is obsessed with boobah?!?!?
they freak me out
but ds (15 mths) is obsessed

bluecow · 03/11/2003 12:45

Give Roly Mole his own show! Ds loves him - ignores the rest of the Fimbles though.

Justin Fletcher does many voices, he does the voice of Max Wilde on the television advert and he's the voice of Chubba in BB3B. I must confess that I fancy Justin like mad and when my son and I met him lsat year I was more happier than my 5 year old. Blush

Good afternoon ladies. Been reading through your thread and it is such a relief to know Im not the only one who thinks about these programmes the way you lot seem too. Aparantly Sarah Jane was a contortionist in her pre presenting days but I think shes a bit too bendy with Justin! Shes the kind of girl who won all the medals and cups in tap class when I was about 7 and had a constans smile and wore all the proper leotards and brand new tap shoes etc. AngryI definately think the Tweenies voices have changed too. They dont seem to be so shrill and loud as they used to be. Though my 2 year old is a massive Bob The Builder Fan he loves Balamory too. PC Plum isnt definately more used to a wcs uniform I reckon!!Smile.

OOPS! Didnt mean to repeat myself sorry....

babaworshipper · 16/06/2006 19:36

WHY WHY are all the storymakers black? And all the librarians white?

I remember reading on a thread in here ages ago about a mumsnetter who's child on seeing a black person said "look mummy a storymaker." Hardly surprising is it!

CarolinaMoose · 16/06/2006 19:37

someone at the BBC obviously saw bluecow's last post...

spooky Shock

BW, they are all related aren't they? They have the same surname.

Byron is deffo my favorite Grin

SaintGeorge · 16/06/2006 19:39

All the storymakers are 'family' so maybe the BBC wanted to keep it simple.

By the way, do realise this thread is 3 years old?

SaintGeorge · 16/06/2006 19:40

Do you realise even Smile

CarolinaMoose · 16/06/2006 19:40

I know!! we get older, but cbeebies stays the same...

babaworshipper · 16/06/2006 19:43

I just noticed thatBlush.

But it wasn't me that bumped it (sticks out tongue and runs shamefacedly away!)

Gingeme · 16/06/2006 22:22

The first time I watched the Tweenies was about 9 years ago when my first son was about 3. They were all new and exciting then. Now I watch them with my 3rd 2 year old son and I just find them annoying and loud! Aunty Mabel has been going for even longer I think. Poor old Pippin must be a dead dog by now Grin Didnt one of the story makers used to be Cat in Red Dwarf? Yeah I love The Roly Mo Show. How cute is that?

aprilmeadow · 22/08/2006 18:53

right i have read all your comments on the facinating personalities we endure on the most brain numbing channel in the history of broadcasting, but am i the only person that thinks justin is far from being anything close to something special! not only to cebeeies insist on forcing some self rightous ways on raising our off spring such as ooh its time for a free range organic, ran around in a medow before being slaughtered lunch ! or lets all be complete enviromental lumatics! only to be presented with the fattest dollop of irritating stupidity i have ever wittnessed! Anyway a least the kids are happy.

upsydaisyfan · 28/09/2008 23:13

Hi all, really enjoyed reading all your comments,
while my dd was having a piano lesson at the local music school(now 12, not child prodigy), I was distracted from my less than exciting book by CBeebies Bedtime - 'In the Night Garden'. Upsydaisy's voice reminded me of one I had heard years before and I started searching and found your chat page.
I laughed so much at all your comments, which reminded me of exactly the sort of things I wondered about when dd was small. I particularly liked the idea of Aunty Mabel being a Madam!
Anyway here's the thing - I reckon whoever does Upsydaisy's voice is the same person as one of the fimbles - florrie or Pom, not sure which. Don't think you will be getting away from these absurd programmes when your kids get older because they still come back and haunt you! And the voices HAUNT YOU MORE!!
