feeling positive.....
Mine was a Pollypops (sp?) dolls house when I was about 3, it was a cardboard house with cardboard furniture my dad spent all Christmas day putting together, I can still picture it now and I played with it soooo much.

it wasn't a xmas pressie, but when i was 2 months pg, there was a possibility that he had to go to america on buisness, and he bought me a spectrum 48k, really took me back to my childhood and brought a huge smile to myself

Blimey CD, you really had me going there...

suzywong · 24/11/2005 08:56

I think I fancy the old diamond earring this christmas, simutlated of course, but then a dishwasher sounds pretty good too

Hulababy · 24/11/2005 09:21

As an adult, my engagement ring

SecondhandRose · 24/11/2005 09:22

Argos do lovely diamond earrings for a fiver! Just smile when people ask if they are real.

Can't think of any wonderful presents, I usually wrap and buy my own to avoid disappointment. I tend to forget what things are so I do get a bit of a surprise!

I do remember the worse present I ever got was a stainless steel potato peeler. I could have stabbed him with it!

A tandem skydive from 15,000 feet which DP bought me last year. I'd always wanted to do it and now I've done it once I want to do it again so I'm dropping very unsubtle hints for another one this year

NewBethlehemGirlwithsparkles · 24/11/2005 09:35

As a child the best pressie I ever got was a red kitchen. Played with it forever. It was fab

As an adult, probably all my xmas pressies that were given to me after I had dd. They were all self indulgent things like shopping vouchers, smellys and stuff like that.

Lucycat · 24/11/2005 12:06

My dad made me and my brother a pair of stilts each and ALL the adults played on them! They were fab!

clary · 24/11/2005 12:06

actually I should have said, as an adult, my bestest prezzie was my maternity ring after dd was born, with four sapphires for the blue eyes of ds1 and dd (aaaahhh).
Stolen in a burglary a year later

NotActuallyAMum · 24/11/2005 13:10

£850 for a handbag - that was misprint surely??

carlychristmas · 24/11/2005 13:14

i had a car two years ago gorgeous megane
Two years down the line still have it and the bloody thing has cost more in repairs than its worth (although i believe this to be fault of xp then car itself!)

nailpolish · 24/11/2005 13:15

no misprint, although dh told me later it was £500 in the sale

NotActuallyAMum · 24/11/2005 13:19

Flippin' heck! My handbag was £3.99 from Matalan
