grrrr on your behalf LTH.

exchange on our last house purchase was delayed by weeks from the original date. Unfortunately, completion stayed right where it was first planned to be, giving us less than a week between the two .

JoolsToo · 14/11/2005 18:04

think yourself lucky you've got a contract to exchange Emma

Micku5 · 14/11/2005 18:05

What have the solicitors said?????

Just as an aside... we are exhanging, completing and moving on Friday!!!!!!
Needless to say that the house is being packed at the moment but with a two year old in the house not much gets done during the day.

LadyTophamHatt · 14/11/2005 18:10

I know JT.

I think of GDK every time I post about our move. We have been very lucky.

My ears are burning!

LTH - nightmare, what's going on?

NOTHING on our house - no viewers in a month now. BUt Jools-Ann Maurice-Too has been round and dressed it and I defy anyone not to fall in love with it

Oh no GDK, I'm gutted for you. I really hope it sells soon for you, it must be a huge burden.

I can't wait to see your "It's sold" thread.

Meggy, our vendors are going in to rented and they haven't found anywhere! They started off going to rented, then they started to buy something but it fell through, now they're back to renting. I have a horrible feeling it's all just stalling tactics.
Our Solicitor said it should happen today but I won't be hold my breath.

We are in the same boat LTH. We should have exchanged last week then the buyers decided that the work needed to correct a damp problem would be too expensive and asked us to pay half. We have asked to see their quote and on it goes. It is deeply frustrating.

OH FFS!

Just rang our solicitors and they still haven't heard from the vendors solicitors.

I phone the estate down there and it basically seems that they(the vendors) are just being slack. They still have't got the letting agency to agree a date but say the earlier thay can now do is the 10th December.
I told them that that's no good for us as Dh can't get any other time off that the week before that, the children need to be in school etc etc etc

They've had weeks to sort a rental place out....weeks! and now they are just fucking us about!

Not sure really.

Would never pull out because the house is perfect for us so I suppose we're willing to wait for as long as we have too.

Just don't tell that to them

What a PITA, LTH.

My house is not sold. No viewers in wekks and weeks. Having had a looooong and labourious chat with DH i reckon we're going to take it off the market as soon as out contract expires and hold on for another 6 - 12 months.

LadyTophamHatt · 16/11/2005 15:38

GRRRRRR, well after faffing about for 5 days trying to get our sellers to sort a date out we finally agreed on 12/12. That gives the kids 4days i school before they break up for xmas hols, and I wanted them to be in way way way before that.
Our buyer has just said they are out of the country on the 12th so the earliest they can do is 28the dec.
FFS no solicitor in the land will be open then. The 28 th of decemebr!!
Stupid fucking arsewipe.
I feel like telling him to fuck off, he's not have our house.

It wil be the new year before we get anywhere!

WANKERS

OP posts:
LadyTophamHatt · 16/11/2005 15:40

oh, and I should also point out he's technically a first time buyer as he sold his in the summer and is living with his parents.

He's a fucking crusty wankstain!

OP posts:
littlemissbossy · 16/11/2005 15:43

he's a ftb and living at his parents - what's he messing about for? is it a money issue, does he have his mortgage in place?

Is there any way you could exchange/complete on your house - move out (storage for a few days) and then move into the new on on the 12th?

My poor bro has had to do this, they are with her parents for a couple of weeks until they can move in to their new place.

LadyTophamHatt · 16/11/2005 15:48

we're moving 60+miles away crunchie, that would be a nightmare
