Where is your computer?

We may have had this before but who cares. Mine is in the 'study' which JulesToo says sounds posh but, sadly, it's far removed from being a book lined retreat with an enormous roll top walnut desk, leather wing chairs and those green glass reading lamps (I wish). It's the spare bedroom as well (so I'm upstairs when I'm on MN, abandoning my neglected kids who are downstairs), and has 2 PCs and the X-Box, plus a big box of tools, books that won't go anywhere else, hundreds of cassettes we will never listen to again and various bits of Lego dotted around. And a singing hamster, don't ask.

Howsabout you?

In the lounge. I have a special computer desk that shuts up on itself so it is hidden away when not in use. I prefer to have my computer in here so DH and I are still n same room at night whilst I play here and he watches TV.

D'you think whether you call it office or study is an indication of how posh you are? I think 'study' sounds posh.

Hula, I have one of those cupboards, had one for months waiting to be built under the stairs My pooter's in lounge.

In my home office

we have a separate study, can't have the pooter in there, that's for books and music [snob emoticon]

In front of me is that not the same for everyone?

Seriously its under the stairs in the living room so I can watch telly while I pretend to work and so I can make sure the kids are Ok on the net.

ours is in the study usually but it is being decorated so is in the kitchen currently. We have a wireless network so we use all over the place

Only draw back is i have to quickly flick to something very important looking when DH looks over, Trying to pretend I am working. I just have to say research and he rolls his eyes and puts the PS2 on.
