Occasionally dh will get interested in a thread that I've bored him with and ask 'how is soandso getting on.......'

most of the time he just tolerates it!

soapbox · 02/11/2005 18:00

He thinks your all mad. Mad, mad, mad

soapbox · 02/11/2005 18:01

God KS is about so you'd better make that you're

Cadmum · 02/11/2005 18:03

My DH is generally unimpressed by the whole forum concept but he is pleased that I am amused by a group of mothers while he is away all of the time. (I suppose it is better than a lovely male au-pair!)

He does occasionally as me about other MumsNutters.

munz · 02/11/2005 18:07

lol - mine used to hate it - but now i've got him hooked as well! - try the whole the girls need ur help tatic! lol - lure them into it!

LadyTophamHatt · 02/11/2005 18:17

He, just today I said to him " am I really sad by being on here...having a social life inside a computer screen?"

He said something like this "No, you're at home with the kids all day, you need to speak to someone"
I was reading a thread at the time so I'm not 100% sure of what he said.
That was the general idea though, so I just thought "bloody hell....cool!"

nutcracker · 02/11/2005 18:18

My Dp calls it lezzienet

cupcakes · 02/11/2005 18:19

My dh calls it 'Nutter's Net'.

LadyTophamHatt · 02/11/2005 18:22

I'd whack him for that nutty.

cheeky sod!

KS - I'm reading eats, leaves and shoots at the moment so will be scrutinising much more closely from now on

TBH I think you've either got the knack of spotting the detail or you haven't and I'm definately in the haven't category. However, I always spot my own mistakes!!!!

Mytwopenceworth · 02/11/2005 18:48

my dh thinks it's sad. if i am on it and he needs the comp he kicks me off because i am not doing anything 'real', like using the net for work related stuff! so what i am doing is a waste of time. i am banned from leting anyone find out my name, my kids names or anything that would mean someone who knows me in rl could identify me! - not sure how much notice i've taken of that!!

basically, according to dh we should all be making better use of our time!

screw him!

(and that's my insult to him, not a suggestion how we could all make better use of our time!)

Lonelymum · 02/11/2005 18:50

Dh hates the amount of time I spend on Mumsnet, but I dond't think he objects to the site as such. He knows I get a lot from it and that I dond't get to chat much in RL.

cori · 02/11/2005 18:55

Dh appreciates that the support I have recieved from mumsnets this year I couldnt have found anywhere else.

He is also impressed that I can start a thread on just about any topic and get a response within minutes.

But he probably thinks I spend to much time on MN, and he is probably right.

iota · 02/11/2005 18:56

my lovely dh has set up a mac in the kitchen so I can MN whilst I cook (only trouble is that the kids want to use it as well

twirlaround · 02/11/2005 18:58

Middle class, middle aged & frumpy

tiredemma · 02/11/2005 19:02

my dp thinks that you are all men pretending to be women.
