At one point dp did ask if I was on a dating site or similar, and he asked; are you having an affair: I had to say yeah darling I am but its with a whole load of women! On a serious note dp doesn't bat a eyelid he is quite happy for me to type away or lurk LOL. He has his hobbies of playing football, guitar and keyboard so I just say my hobbies are the Gym and Mumsnet!

Nightynight · 02/11/2005 19:46

MIDDLE AGED???!!!

Passionflower · 02/11/2005 19:58

Slightly suspicious of it I think, also thinks it's a bit sad. Does ask whats going on on mumsnet then, when he spots me netting.

teeavee · 02/11/2005 20:11

mine thinks it's a sect

pussycatmomma · 02/11/2005 21:08

my dh is totally bemused by my relatively new fascination with typing to strangers about my life, especially considering im not even a mum yet but hey, im trying and there are special threads for all us ttc too!

KBear · 02/11/2005 21:22

My DH says "you on your religious sect website again". I just say "yep, are you watching crap on telly again?"

expatinscotland · 02/11/2005 21:24

He thinks it's funny.

Flum · 02/11/2005 21:26

Thinks its funny and glad it makes me happy. thinks you are all probably as bonkerz as me and rolls his eyes when I tell him somethign I heard on Mumsnet.

Does think it has a bit of a whiff of sandals and placenta eating though

uwila · 02/11/2005 21:39

My DH thinks I'm obsessed with it, which of course I;m not... Well okay maybe.

harpsichordcarrier · 02/11/2005 21:45

he thinks we all argue about everything all the time
now where would he get that idea....

Hulababy · 02/11/2005 21:48

He likes it as he sees it as a great excuse to get his own way of what goes on TV!

Flossam · 02/11/2005 21:53

He gave me a quote. It involved strangers, gossip, boll*cks and that it is sad, it leads to divorce and women spend too much time on it.

He isn't keen on me coming to the meet up, which, being a stubborn so and so, it just made me all the more determined to come

Flum · 02/11/2005 22:00

Dh does appreciate that if I want to know something MN is the quickest way to tap into a few useful minds quickly, even if unrelated to parenting. Have pleased him greatly with a few quick answers on 'How to/ Where to get/ type questions'

frannyandzooey · 02/11/2005 22:04

Dp when asked, said "Well you seem to enjoy it," in a really patronising voice .

He then muttered something under his breath about "poor little ds - mumsnet orphan..."

saadia · 02/11/2005 22:08

Mine keeps calling out from the next room "there's a family in here".

Carlk · 02/11/2005 22:12

DW says "are you flirting again"? [rolls eyes]

Really she thinks it's great

mummylonglegs · 02/11/2005 22:17

Dp works long hours and most evenings so he's very happy that I've got my 'window out of the lounge' as he puts it. And he's always interested in hearing how some of the 'juicier' threads have been going on ...

harpsichordcarrier · 02/11/2005 22:20

well Carl
are you flirting again

paolosgirl · 02/11/2005 22:37

He makes some comment about seeing me tomorrow whenever I disappear to the spare room and MN

Carlk · 03/11/2005 11:50

Moi??

Always
