the other day i was making gloop for the kids i look after we made it a nice pink colour but the older 1 said i want it purple so i thought thats easy enough just add some blue food colouring. i told them not to touch it till i got a spoon to mix it in with but they did and had blue colouring up to their elbows. i tried everything to get it off but nothing worked so i grabed some domestos diluted it in water and used that. it was great got it off no probs then i made them wash their hands really well with nice smelling soap to get rid of the smell.

was gonna change my name but couldnt be bothered but feel free to change your and confess all

My lovely best friend and her children came to stay for a few days this week. The boys were driving us nuts playing football outside the front of the house constantly bashing the front door and the garage. I wouldn't mind but it was a lovely day and we live right on the edge of a park. After about 10 minutes I saw red I put my trainers on and ran off with the ball as fast as I could and booted into some trees. Unfortunately the trees belonged to the school grounds when I looked behind me my neighbour who works as a teaching assistant was walking past.

gloop is cornflour mixed with water that when you pick it up and roll it you can make a ball but if you stop it turns to liquid

Made a meal extra spicy for my MIL who doesn't like spicy food - because she annoyed me by saying DH must like it when they visit because he gets a decent meal!

starshaker · 30/10/2005 18:17

I gave ds the end of my roll from the bakers even though I hadn't asked about it's ingredients. You guessed it - I spent the night in casualty.

Bunked off work and booked into a nearby hotel for 2 hours on Friday lunchtime to sleep off my hangover from a team night out the night before. Returned refreshed, having had the most expensive sleep of my life, on an hourly rate anyway. It was worth it though.

this is only tonight.

i forced my 15 year old to carve a pumpkin. then

forced my girly girl girl girl scaredy cat 12 yo BOY to watch the first bit of a scary movie ( as we are doign halloween tonight as i know i won't be arsed tomorrow plus got to get dd ready for trick or treating)

12 yo boy then said he's had enough and left the room.

my dd loves scary movies and has watched the ring with her dad this weekend - she crapped herself and loved every minute - so i have long scraggly hair like samara and i squiggle shuffled making slurpy noises just like the movie she got really scared andstarted crying! < ahem> she cried at me - not the movie.

and possibly worst thing of all - made them tidy their rooms.
