Sorry - can't relate to those other threads.... was anyone else like this in the 70's & 80's??

  • Indian cotton tops and skirts (or with worn out jeans
  • Patchouly oil
  • Joss sticks
  • genesis/ Led Zepplin/ AC/dc; all still goign strong/ Deep Purple
  • Army surplus green jacket to wear on top
  • leather boots
  • embroidered denim jackets - some with tassles (I was the girl favoured by all the boys at the Youth club 'cos I could do the embroidered stuff on the back
  • head-banging with long hair (girls and boys)
  • black eyeliner
  • and everyone drove a Citroen Dyane

WHAT WAS THAT ALL ABOUT???????

Not quite 70's (born then) but remember late 80's early 90's, tassled leather jacket, thigh leather boots etc lol. At our local rock club. Then turned goth and now just a bit odd really . love my flares! And anything platforms.
Ohhhh the Patchouli smell

fullmoonfiend · 20/10/2005 18:18

I used to buy kids kilts in Oxfam and wear them as mini skirts with thick black tights (or over the knee sox) and worn with doc martens. Then a very tight, off the shoulder top and a battered bike jacket. Topped with a beret. I thought I looked lush. I also had a big penchant for hippy goth stuff. (still do, very secretly)

Tref, that mixture should be available only with a special licence. Lore had it when I were a lass that some pubs refused to serve Snakebites on the grounds that it sent people bonkers.

FMF..me too (that dh doesn't know about.)

spidermama · 20/10/2005 18:56

Hmmm.

No but I can understand how the blackcurrant top would go some way to erradicate the back-of-the-throat kick which is an unpleasant bi-product of Special Brew.

Cunning.

moondog · 20/10/2005 18:58

Moonlighting...yes!

Blandmum · 20/10/2005 18:58

OK, all time heavy metal hits/ late hippy stuff that you can't resist a bit of a head bang to?

Stairway to Heaven
