Male friend at weekend:
"The secret to having a calm, relaxed baby is not to be so stressed and uptight during pregnancy and early babyhood. Basically, you bring a cry-baby upon yourself."

Fabulous. I hope he gets a really cranky baby in due course!

Caligula · 10/10/2005 21:16

expatinscotland · 10/10/2005 21:27

Oh, yes, especially when they get all offended when you point out that they've never parented.

That's almost as daft as that thread started by a member whose FIL believes SPD is caused by eating too many sweets and cakes in pregnancy.

gingerbear · 10/10/2005 21:28

I would like to meet a man that can put his willy where his mouth is!

pmsl at this interpretation. OK, if I said "put your womb where your mouth is" I do hope the same obscene interpretation wouldn't be put upon it!!!

Caligula · 10/10/2005 21:34

I remember a certain MNer's thread complaining about how her parent friends constantly broke off conversations to rescue/shout at their toddlers, or how all the parents could talk about nothing but their kids and how their houses had to be full of toys and devoid of ornaments etc....it emerged halfway through that this MNer had not yet had her first baby. I wonder if her point of view has changed
