Can someone tell me how to put a password on a file please

Have a file which i need password protecting so that only I can get into it. Can it be done and if so how ??

Plus, if i password protect it , will i still be able to send it to others or not ??

You need to click on File>save as

then on the window that opens, click on Tools

There should be security options to add a password.

What if you open a new file. Copy and paste it to that file, and then try save as again?

Ok will try that. Failing that I'll have to download from email again and save again.
