It is file transfer protocol. If you have an FTP program, you transfer photo files in the same way that you transfer any other files, just click and drag to the folder you want to upload them to. Or is it one of those sites where you do it through the web browser?

lucy5 · 15/09/2005 17:03

its one of the sites through the web browser. Dh is based in Gibraltar and his office is in London. Its a nightmare, ive had to change all my security settings just to get on to the blasted thing.

What do you see on screen? There should be a way for you to locate a file on your machine in order to upload it. They vary - if you describe it I might be able to tell!

Kelly1978 · 15/09/2005 17:08

the ftp I used worked on drag and drop.

lucy5 · 15/09/2005 17:14

ive got an empty folder for photos and my documents, shared documents, network places etc on the left hand panel

OP posts:
spacedonkey · 15/09/2005 17:14

Can you navigate around the folders in that left hand panel to locate files?

lucy5 · 15/09/2005 17:16

yes and ive manage d to get the photos up, theres blooming loads of them.

OP posts:
spacedonkey · 15/09/2005 17:17

You've uploaded them?

lucy5 · 15/09/2005 17:19

OP posts:
lucy5 · 15/09/2005 17:19

spacedonkey · 15/09/2005 17:20

OK, hopefully you can click on the photo file at the top of the list, then, holding the shift key down, click on the bottom file - that should highlight them all at once ...

spacedonkey · 15/09/2005 17:22

is there a right-hand pane?
is there a button saying "upload"?

lucy5 · 15/09/2005 17:23

I opened photo file and its come up with one big picture in the middle of the screen and lots of little one s underneath I cant seem to highlight them

OP posts:
spacedonkey · 15/09/2005 17:24

can you not just left click on them once to highlight?

lucy5 · 15/09/2005 17:24

No

OP posts:
spacedonkey · 15/09/2005 17:27

what else is on screen?

lucy5 · 15/09/2005 17:27

It is just my normal photo page but for some reason. It looks like its ready for a slide show

OP posts:
spacedonkey · 15/09/2005 17:28

oh dear. I don't know what your normal photo page is though! What does it say in the bar right at the top? i.e. what program are you in

lucy5 · 15/09/2005 17:29

ive gone in again and have managed to highlight them.

OP posts:
spacedonkey · 15/09/2005 17:30
