Does anyone know how to upload photos to an ftp site?

sorry im a dunce, have now opened my hotos through ftp site and have highlighted them. in the left panel it says folders, desktop my computer etc.

there must be other stuff on the screen other than a panel with files though ... ?

dh is hanging over my shoulder and im getting really frustrated so im going to come back to it in 10 mins when he walks the dogs. Thanks so much for your help.
