your ex-husband's girlfriend's mother cut a fringe into your daughter's hair, when you have deliberately NEVER cut a fringe?
I am really angry and feel that it was not for this woman to make a decision about my daughter's hair style.
Would you feel the same or am I being over-sensitive?

jayzmummy · 26/08/2005 11:05

OMG!!!! I would be breathing fire!!!

madmarchhare · 26/08/2005 11:05

I think my blood would be boiling

Pinotmum · 26/08/2005 11:05

Oh I'd be bursting with rage Bloody cheek not to have consulted you before going ahead.

Enid · 26/08/2005 11:05

go and buy loads of clips and hairbands (that you will need while training her fringe out) and send them the bill.

suzywong · 26/08/2005 11:06

I think you should c&ap in an envelope and put it through her letterbox, it's an outrage
seriously

littlemissbossy · 26/08/2005 11:06

that's outrageous

Pinotmum · 26/08/2005 11:06

I'd have to ring her and vent otherwise my bllod pressure may kill me!!

Blu · 26/08/2005 11:07

I would be furious.
Probably an over-emotional over-reaction, because this is about territory, rights, betrayal, ownership etc rather than just about the hair,
But I would be furious.

But would try to make a reasonable dignified point to ex, his gf and her interfering bat of a mother, rather than betraying the full extent of my screaming inner-harridan.

Twiglett · 26/08/2005 11:07

I'd be furious

You are not being over-sensitive

That is appalling

Bugsy2 · 26/08/2005 11:09

I have never met this woman - she lives in America. My children went on holiday with my ex-husband and girlfriend and at some point HER mother cut a fringe in my daughter's hair. Can't post poop as I have no idea where she lives! Ex-H is making out that it is ridiculous for me to object - it is just a little fringe. ARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

moondog · 26/08/2005 11:09

Jesus!
Find out where she hangs out,run up behind her with a pair of scissors, cut a big chunk out of her hair and say

'Like that do ya,you stupid bitch??!!'

She'll not do it again.

fuzzywuzzy · 26/08/2005 11:10

Take her to the hairdressers and send them the bill....Vidal Sassoon are really good!!!

mumtosomeone · 26/08/2005 11:10

I was mad enough when she cut ds's fingernails!!!
Think I would have to 'talk' to her!!!
What was ex thinking letting her!!
Does she live with you?
DD that is not ex's girlfriend!!

Pinotmum · 26/08/2005 11:10

Blu you are a better woman than I - I'd rip the mothers hair from her scalp and make it into a cushion cover.

aloha · 26/08/2005 11:10

I would be absolutely livid, I really would. Beside myself.
And I'm a stepmother.

moondog · 26/08/2005 11:10

America? Bugger. Pay someone else to do it?

mumtosomeone · 26/08/2005 11:11

how old is dd?
How does she feel?

Twiglett · 26/08/2005 11:11

Have calmed down slightly

Think the issue is between you and ex-H

Viscerally I still feel he has no right to allow it, but actually he is the parent and when she's with him maybe he feels he does??

mumtosomeone · 26/08/2005 11:13

come on. would you dh take dd to hairdressers ??
Without asking you? NO
So why did ex allow this stupid f B if you ask me!!
But thats why he is your ex right?!!!

suzywong · 26/08/2005 11:14

well you know what is the absolute insult to injury then bugsy - she would have called them bangs!!!! ffs!

How affronting, I mean really

Twiglett · 26/08/2005 11:15

He is one of the parents that's all I'm saying MTS, he has parental rights when the children are with him.

I think its wrong I admit. If it was my child I don't think I'd calm down.

But as an outsider it is far easier to look at both POVs

fireflyfairy2 · 26/08/2005 11:15

OMG! Id be furious

Really really livid! Who did they think they were?? I would hate it if ANYONE cut my childs hair without my say-so. I'd construe it round to think that they thought my child wasn't perfect enough the way she was.. they had to change her and make her different.. of course this is probably not what they were doing..but thats just how MY mind works

I think it was bloody big step letting your children go on hoildays to America with your ex and his g'friend and they should have been respecting you and not changed your dd's hair..!

moondog · 26/08/2005 11:17

lol suzy!

SherlockLGJ · 26/08/2005 11:18
