Fellow Christians- what do you think of Cameron?

While I wouldn't want to go on holiday with him, I did admire him for sticking up for his beliefs in a non-threatening way. Can't have been easy and will be even harder now he's out.

God bless him. What a sweetheart!

M2T · 26/07/2003 21:51

... Is this inappropriate? Hope not.... here goes.

Cameron is GORRRRGEOUS, and I would love to pop his cherry for him.

Sorry, hope I haven't offended anyone.

codswallop · 26/07/2003 21:52

hMm M2T - dont think that was tge "thrust" of the thread!!

M2T · 26/07/2003 21:53

Okay - help me out here. If you don't believe in sex before marriage, does that rule out EVERYTHING sexual? Like foreplay?? Or is it just intercourse that's not acceptable? I know that kissing is okay.

Excuse my ignorance, just curious.

M2T · 26/07/2003 21:54

LOL Coddy!

Cammy......Mmmmmm...... Grrrrr....

Hilary · 26/07/2003 22:17

I'm a Christian and I thought Cameron was fab - the way he wasn't ashamed of his beliefs at all, read his Bible unselfconsciously, stuck to his principles regarding drinking, swearing etc and was a general lovely guy. I think the fact that was like that AND won is just wonderful. What a great witness he has been!

M2T · 26/07/2003 22:18

... with a grrreat arse!

codswallop · 26/07/2003 22:18

m2t stop it.

Hilary · 26/07/2003 22:22

What are you like M2T?! Poor Cameron may be quaking right now!

Only joking - it's keeping me smiling despite my nightmare non-house move this weekend

M2T · 26/07/2003 22:24

Sorry.... he is gorgeous though, I must be ovulating or something. And it's nice to hear someone from the Orkneys with a Scottish Islander accent!

Hilary · 26/07/2003 22:25

He has got a lovely accent, hasn't he?

M2T · 26/07/2003 22:25

SB34!! Shocking comment... take that back.

Tortington · 27/07/2003 00:11

cameron who? please tell me

nursie · 27/07/2003 10:17

Is this Big Brother? If it is, I think it's wonderful that a Christian won. Another positive witness, hurray!

codswallop · 27/07/2003 10:17

is witness an in word?

Eowyn · 27/07/2003 12:29

I was amazed that he turned out to be a genuine Christian as far as I can tell, & still won it. Really didn't expect him to as people are so anti.
Very impressed with him so far. Not my type physically tho, so unbiased, honest!

I think he is just gorgeous too, everything about him is just sooo lovely!!

Not sure I would want to pop his cherry for him though - don't imagine that it would last very long!!

I did not see the bit where he won but DP raced up stairs and told me that he was not a christian and as soon as he won he light a spliff and said - Thank F*k that religeous stuff worked, I am Fking rich and am gonna go out get hammered and F*k the first little hoare that I see!! - I actually believed him - well all except the spliff thing - and got very upset - in hind sight it was funny but at the time I was distraught!!

Would like to have Cameron's brain inside the body of Ray - but a little taller!!

I think that he's maybe given the others in the house (and those watching) more to think about through his actual living example than if he had preached at them - e.g. looking after Steph when she was really drunk, not being judgemental but getting stuck into the practicalities of what she needed says so much more about Christianity than if he had been an obnoxious person who disapproved and lectured her on the evils of alcohol. I thought his living witness was fantastic and I hope that people continue to pray for him and his strength of faith because it will be even harder now that he's out and there will be people looking for dirt, putting temptation in his way etc. So glad that there is someone out there in the public arena showing what Christianity is all about.

PS Dadslib - good stewardship of his winnings is what is important, not necessarily giving it away but using it wisely

lilibet · 29/07/2003 12:52

Really encouraged that there are Christians on mumsnet, I thought Cameron was wonderful, had just the right balance, the bit where he was reading Lukes Gospel at the Christmas dinner table to them all was very touching. I have a problem on which I need Christian based opinion, but have been unsure about putting it on here as asking for answers from only one section of the members may seem a bit odd, what do you think?
