Episode 34 - The Tearoom moves to New England

At this time of year New England is famous for its glorious foliage as billions of leaves change from green to a kaleidoscope of colours. The air is crisp and cool ? perfect for hiking, biking or a drive along back roads, where farm stands are piled high with crunchy apples and orange pumpkins.

Everyone is welcome. There are tea, cakes and wine aplenty so pull up a comfortable chair and join us.

The usual rule applies - no fisticuffs please!

Can I join? My DD is 7 and I'm not planning on any more at least for a while as I had her at 19 am not with her dad and now have a new partner of 2.5 years who I love v much.. But kids aren't in the menu at least not yet. I'm also a very driven career woman!

Don't worry, Maud, Girl was on the list. SB remembered Girl when we were reading the birthday card you sent to him. We call her "Girl your Big Girl Friend" and he started saying "Castle! Big friend castle!"

There is a black cat on top of my black camera bag. It looks like a statue. I almost can't tell where the cat stops and the bag starts.

You could take a picture, unless your camera's in the bag!

Camera's in the bag. Along with charger for my phone, camera and the cable for the LeapPad. I had it out to put all of the chargers and spare batteries in it.

My hotwater bottle has very long legs.. and has a tendency to lick one's face very enthusiastically.

Oh dear. SmallBoy woke up at 6:30, ready to start the day. He was still awake at 10:00/10:30 last night (he came downstairs to try to persuade me to go to bed, too). He did have a good nap in the car in the late afternoon (from 4:30 until well after 6:00). This doesn't bode well, does it?

Though I have a theory, it will either go wonderfully or horribly. Because we (MrScout & I) are calm, happy, seasoned travellers it tends to rub off on SB so I'm hoping that, despite the tiredness, the same will happen again today. Last night he was telling us about eating/sleeping/watching television on the airplane so he knows he's supposed to sleep.

I've just realized I've packed my carry-on and haven't put my laptop in it. Great. My "not as heavy as I thought because of all of the Toddler kit" is going to become heavy. Gah!

Wet cat food is smelly. (tea room special)

PiL are away and SiL that lives here stays with her fiancé at the weekends. I agreed to feed the cats this morning (and she's offered to take us to Heathrow this afternoon). So I've just washed all of the bowls (they have a large number of bowls, too -- wet food, dry food, water, milk and times those by several for four cats) and put down the food and phew, smelly!

The cats are lovely, though.

SmallBoy's just inspected to make sure I "do feed cats like Nana give cats food." Hahahahahaha.
