Child with large Wart on Face in DD's Nursery

Is it okay to have children (babies aged 9 months) with large visible and uncovered warts in a nursery setting on the face (where it will be touched daily and touch surfaces etc.)? DD is only 8 months.

How do you know it’s a wart? Are you scared your DD will catch one from the child?

I have two warts on my thumb- nobody else has caught them, despite holding my hand.

Jeeze. Poor kid and his poor parents. S/he's already being viewed with suspicion because of their facial disfigurement.

How do you know it’s a wart? My dd had 3 large skin tags by her ear when she was a baby.

What so you want the nursery staff to not touch this child, or ask them to leave?

What a horrible thing to say. I’ve had a wart on my thumb for 3 years and my DD had never caught it.

I sincerely hope this is a worried mum with a reverse rather than a nasty, judgmental post from someone genuine.

Does he also have knobbly knees and turned out toes? If so, maybe have a word with the nursery. If there’s purple prickles all over his back then you’re definitely screwed.

This reminds me of the person who told my parents I shouldn’t be out in public when I was a baby because of the big strawberry nevus I had on my head.
