Agree with the location. We stopped using nursery in 2013 and it was £63 a day (South Manchester).

AngelsWithFilthySouls · 29/06/2016 13:21

Depends on location. We're in Scotland and pay £50 a day, including lunch, and that's one of the dearer ones as it's a city centre location.

lasermum · 29/06/2016 14:27

Used to pay £52 a day when ds2 left nursery 10 years ago!! (Lovely nursery in the SE).

Cazz81 · 01/07/2016 02:07

We are moving within London from se to sw and nurseries are around 1.5x higher 😬. Was 56£pd, now 75£

Dlah · 07/07/2016 15:13

I work in a nursery, we currently charge £43, 7.45am - 6pm in East Midlands.

I've just done a ring around to compare others ready for a potential increase, most expensive near here with £48.50 and you had to provide your own snacks or child goes without which I find appalling!

There was only one nursery cheaper than us at £42, so we appear to be mid range

Xmasbaby11 · 07/07/2016 15:15

£45 a day in Yorkshire. That includes lunch and two snacks.

They don't charge for bank holidays or training days so that brings down the cost a bit.

Titsdown · 07/07/2016 15:36

About to move from Surrey (commuter belt) - £75 per day. To Kent - £42 per day meals inc.

StopShoutingAtYourBrother · 07/07/2016 15:39

My area of London was £85 per day - and I knew of more expensive in more posh bits of town....

Thequilltosurvive · 07/07/2016 15:40

Ours is £58 I think

StubbleTurnips · 07/07/2016 15:40

Ours has a full time placement discount, it's £58 day normally or if full time £46 per day. I'm north Manchester, and there was a waiting list to get in Shock

oldlaundbooth · 07/07/2016 15:45

Ouf, you're not going to want to know what it is in Québec!

$11 per day. Includes meals, subsidised by the government.

oldlaundbooth · 07/07/2016 15:47

BIL is in Manchester and pays the standard rate as mentioned on here, £1000 per month.

Scary.

namechangedtoday15 · 07/07/2016 15:53

Oldlaundbooth - its scarier when you have to pay for twins !!

YerAWizardHarry · 07/07/2016 15:58

Previous nursery was £55 a day not including nappies wipes or formula, they're closing down as not busy enough. They were open 8-530

New nursery open 7.30-6 and £45 a day

Kennington · 07/07/2016 16:03

For under 3 I paid 90 quid per day
For over 3 it was 67 per day
And no refunds for holidays not bank holidays

Camembertie · 07/07/2016 16:07

I paid £74 a day in London/Surrey for a full day 5 years ago, dread to think how much it would cost now! Was fully inclusive though, and utterly fantastic

oldlaundbooth · 07/07/2016 16:07

Didn't even think of that, namechanged! Shock

Camembertie · 07/07/2016 16:10

Just checked now £87 for an 11 hour day - yikes!! When I had a baby and toddler there we had to move to another nursery that was cheaper, but when the rate drops at 2 we moved youngest back there as it was just so good

MadeForThis · 07/07/2016 16:20

£29 full day 7.30 to 6pm including meals and snacks. Northern Ireland. Seems we are quite lucky!

PotteringAlong · 07/07/2016 16:21

I pay £38 for an 11 hour day including meals in the north east

DownWithThisSortaThing · 07/07/2016 16:48

Oh my, some of the prices on here Shock I didn't realise how much it could vary across the country.
We're really lucky here (Yorkshire)
£38 a day for two days a week, 7.30 - 5.30, includes breakfast, dinner and tea and 2 snacks. They're brilliant too, such a lovely homely atmosphere and great ofsted reports.

namechangedtoday15 · 07/07/2016 16:58

Yes, realising how much it was going to cost for twins, even on a 3 day week, plus the loss of 40% of my salary going back part-time, was quite an eye watering day Shock.

Paddingtonthebear · 07/07/2016 17:03

£50 a day, nothing include (no meals, nappies or wipes). 8.30-5.30

Zampa · 07/07/2016 17:07

£50 a day; all food, formula, nappies etc. provided. Outstanding nursery in South Manchester.

Ifiwasabadger · 07/07/2016 17:08

Jesus. I live overseas and I pay that for 8-1!!!!!!
