It depends where in the country you are. That's about right round here in south Manchester. When we lived in London it was about £85-£100 a day and friends in north Manchester pay £40 a day

PolaroidsFromTheBeyond · 26/06/2016 21:40

Yep, that's what I pay in the Midlands and what most local nurseries charge.

OutsiderInTheGarden · 26/06/2016 21:40

I think were paying about £42 for a long day, which was up to 12 hours. Typically our DS was there for 9-10 hours though, and he doesn't go at all any more.

lookbeforeyouleap · 26/06/2016 21:42

We pay £52 a day including meals

LottieDoubtie · 26/06/2016 21:42

That sounds extraordinarily cheap, if you like the place bite their hand off.

WoweeZowee · 26/06/2016 21:43

Sounds about right. We pay £56 p/day, 7.30-6.

BerylMeeps · 26/06/2016 21:43

45£ near us.

milkysmum · 26/06/2016 21:44

Where I live it's £42 ( baby room ) for an 11 hour nursery day. I think it's clear it varies a lot depending on what part of the country you are in.

CwtchMeQuick · 26/06/2016 21:47

Midlands here. Currently paying about £35 which I think is very cheap as it was about £50 in DSs previous two nurseries

Ilovenannyplum · 26/06/2016 21:48

I'm in SE London, we pay £60 for a full day (7.30-6.30 - although we only use 8-6) and this includes breakfast, hot lunch and hot 'tea' (served around 4pm, DS has something when he gets home on top of this) plus nappies & creams etc and formula when DS used to have it

TreaterAnita · 26/06/2016 21:51

We pay £50 in S Manchester for 10.5 hours, including 3 meals and nappies.

Kim82 · 26/06/2016 21:56

It's £39 per day for the nursery my dd starts next week.

FuzzyOwl · 26/06/2016 21:59

SE here and it is £74 per day! Shock

sequinsandwich · 26/06/2016 22:02

That sounds reasonable for an 11 hour day. Here nurserys are around £60-£70 for 8am-6pm

Kiwi32 · 26/06/2016 22:04

SW and it's £50/day for 8am-6pm with meals and snacks included.

MeInHoney86 · 26/06/2016 22:08

£39 for 11 hours ( drop off and pick up when you want, not many do the full 7-6)

MeInHoney86 · 26/06/2016 22:09

Meals and nappies provided, east anglia

JerryFerry · 26/06/2016 22:11

So sorry for you all. I am in NZ and paid $24 for a 4-day week!

OutsiderInTheGarden · 26/06/2016 22:16

Jerry seriously?! Is that recent, and is it subsidised in some way?

JerryFerry · 26/06/2016 22:22

Yes, heavily subsidised. Full rate would be $50 a day (this would be higher at a central city preschool as city rents are higher) but 3-5yos qualify for "20 hrs free" which isn't exactly accurate but does knock it down a lot, then there are further means-tested subsidies. A lot of parents pay no fees at all.

Ilovewillow · 26/06/2016 22:28

We pay £65 a day for 8.00-6.00. We are in Hampshire.

Ilovenannyplum · 27/06/2016 17:26

Fuzzy
£74 a day?! Do they teach them mandarin and hand feed them peeled organic grapes?! Grin

babyboyHarrison · 27/06/2016 17:36

£47 for 7-6.30 inc meals but not formula, nappies or wipes. Sutton Coldfield

Salene · 27/06/2016 17:37

I pay £58 a day

7.30 till 6pm includes breakfast and lunch and you provide dinner and they will give it to your child

LaurieFairyCake · 27/06/2016 17:41

£93 a day for my friend in SW London
