May be showing my age here by using the term single! But for me it was Lay your love on me by Racey.
So wish it was something cooler!

The first one I received was Rolf Harris "Two Little Boys", first one I bought was by David Essex (I'm old).

I think I was about 8 or 9.

Mine were Ant Music (Adam and the Ants) and A Town Called Malice (The Jam).
Both bought from the local market for about £1 when I was around 10. I still have them.

I actually bought two at the same time...

BTM I didn't hold my tape recorder to the TV but did record songs on TOPS on Radio 1 on a Sunday night.

My first single was Ant Music by Adam and the Ants.

INSS, yes, I did that too, but I did the TV thing when I got my first tape-recorder when I was 7. It was red!

Seven Tears by The Goombay Dance Band. I was about 7 I think. Before that I particularly remember enjoying my dad's Boney M and Abba records

Metal Guru by T-rex. Although I also had two little boys by Rolf Harris bought for me.Didn't record off tv but I had the crappy Top of the pops albums, with unknown artists singing pop hits badly. And now there's Glee. What goes around comes around I suppose!
