Got a week to compile our holiday car cd, please help! Looking for nice singalong songs that aren't too annoyingly kiddy but have something that would appeal to kids. So far I have:

Autumn Almanac by The Kinks (has a caterpillar in it)

Also the Shrek soundtracks are usually pretty adult-friendly!

For puppy-loving girls everywhere, Golden Retriever by Super Furry Animals. DD has just discovered this today.

Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel etc
Any themes from movies that do a good compromise?
We play Peter Gabriel's Down to Earth from Wall-E in the car - and from there I've been able to wangle Solsbury Hill etc
