At the moment, Flight of the Conchords. Do two man novelty bands count?

janeite · 22/05/2009 21:32

Like your style imum.

Mine are: The Smiths and The Jesus And Mary Chain.

mrsruffallo · 22/05/2009 21:38

Has to be Led Zepp for me
this is divine

iMum · 22/05/2009 21:40

Thankyou muchly janeite. Have to say it was tough-Smith also in my top 10, I was actually wearing my panic T-shirt when I first met my dh.

janeite · 22/05/2009 21:43

Lol - it sounds like a warning!
I made the mistake of letting ex take all my band t-shirts except Love Will Tear Us Apart when I left him for dp (twas the guilt acting I guess) and I still yearn for my Weddoes' 'All the songs sound the same' one.

epithet · 22/05/2009 21:43

Ooh, iMum, I copped off in a Panic T-shirt too! Though not with dh.

Smiths will always be my number one, but I was a big Cure & Sisters & JAMC & general indie/gothy type.

KnickKnack · 22/05/2009 21:46

Fave of all time...definitely RDF

RaggedRobin · 22/05/2009 22:30

all time favourite has to be can

EachPeachPearMum · 22/05/2009 22:53

I was wearing Hatful of Hollow tshirt when I met dh... but I did get off with his mate that night....

How can you choose an absolute favourite? depends on mood...

new model army

killers
husker du
muse
smiths
st etienne
mission

heartofgold · 22/05/2009 22:56

st etienne were a pretentious load of wankers when we saw them. despite that, foxbase alpha was a moment of genius. would you like some sweets billy?

ooh that's another one for the lesser known films thread - house of games. son of a bitch you've been steam rollerin over me all night

2shoes · 22/05/2009 22:56

oh let me think.........................

avenged sevenfold

MintChocAddict · 22/05/2009 22:57

Supergrass for me.

EachPeachPearMum · 22/05/2009 23:01

so tough is better than foxbase alpha....

Sheeta · 22/05/2009 23:02

Suede.

LyraSilvertongue · 22/05/2009 23:02

Muse, no contest.

Sheeta · 22/05/2009 23:16

Lyra - Muse is an extremely close second.

LOVE Matt Bellamy and his AWESOME guitar skillz

LyraSilvertongue · 22/05/2009 23:23

Sheeta, Muse are second to no-one.

Sheeta · 22/05/2009 23:26

if i'd found them first, then I would agree, but I dind't, and Brett Anderson's presence is just too much to ignore.

Muse are by far the best band I have EVER seen live though, and that's saying something... I've seen over 200 bands.

Never saw Portishead though, much to my disgust. They were in the jazz tent (at glasto), miles away, and I had trenchfoot

Marthasmama · 22/05/2009 23:26

Muse for me too. Love them, but also love Queen Adreena, Smashing Pumpkins, Soundgarden and QOTSA. There are many more I could mention but they are probably my top five.

LyraSilvertongue · 22/05/2009 23:34

Oooh, Soundgarden. Chris Cornell was sex on legs when I was a teenager. Not sure what he looks like now. Black Hole Sun is one of my favourite songs ever.
