I went to see him last night at the O2 and, oh sweet Jesus, he was absolutely jaw-droppingly fantastic. Just so good it's untrue. I've been to quite a few gigs lately with many much more current bands (Vampire Weekend, Santogold, Nouvelle Vague) who were brilliant in their own way, but spending three hours listening to him talk and sing just blows anything else away.

Oh you lucky things... would have loved to see him, I heard an interview on radio 4 a month or so ago, and I was awed, I really was. So in touch, so human.

I really wanted to go to big chill but we are on holiday. Was considering doing 02 again in November, but part of me thinks that this time was so perfect that I don't want to spoil it by it possibly not being as good a second time around IYSWIM?

Big Chill is so expensive though... I certainly couldn't afford to take the family - and you'd want to wouldn't you?

Just spotted this thread and I just had to agree.

Isnt he amazing. Voice better than chocolate! and so so much better than he was, if that could be at all possible.
