I saw Catatonia in the Water Rats pub in King's Cross, circa 1994, in the middle of the bill (if memory serves, some long-forgotten band called Octopus were headlining). They weren't very good.

Also saw The Darkness at the Camden Barfly before they took off. They weren't very good either!

The Buzzcocks in Dundee.

The Rancid Armpits who became the Skids...Dunfermline.

The Waterboys in Letham village hall on Dunnichan Day.

The sweetest of all was Runrig up in Skye when everyone chipped in 50 p's for the village hall electric meter so the band could run their gear !

Oasis at The Duchess in Leeds

Liam had amazing presence, music not great.

Radiohead at The Cockpit in Leeds.

Much more fun than they are now.

Saw Bryan Adams at his 2nd concert in the UK - back in early '80s at Sheffield. Then saw him last year at a bigger stadium - still good. But his most recent stuff is not so good

I lost my virginity to Robbie Williams. Sadly not the Robbie Williams...

Beyonce - when she'd just started out in Destiny's child about 1998. i just happened to be in the audience at TOTP that week. She didn't strike me as 'all that' tbh but then it's not really my kind of music.

The Police. I am very old. (that is a statement of fact, not the name of a band!)

GrapefruitMoon · 19/06/2008 16:33

Just remembered that Blur were in the line up at a gig I went to at Brixton Academy - everyone in the audience though they were rubbish and migrated towards the bar!
