Like some pp, my mind immediately turned to the whole Modelez/Cadbury link up and I decided not to respond on the survey as I don't want my honest feedback used to serve them. Ludicrous probably, but I really feel the whole MN-Cadbury love-in has chipped away somewhat at my core belief that MN is a pure force for good.

Sorry, just my honest thoughts

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 13/12/2015 22:33

I answered that I have been on a successful diet in the last 3 years, because I have. I have also been on unsuccessful ones, lost and gained weight (partly due to having a baby, partly just eating like a pig) and generally fucked around with the whole diet thing. 3 years is a long time! But there was no place to say all that.

ProfYaffle · 14/12/2015 10:14

I agree TooExtra, in 3 years I've tried out a few diets and found one that works so I've been unsuccessful and successful. It's not a black and white thing.

BrendaandEddie · 14/12/2015 10:20

Cadbury's?

Diets?

Thatrabbittrickedme · 14/12/2015 11:55

Brenda it's not so much the link between diets and Cadbury, it's more the general fact that the site has linked with a company I don't want anything to do with, so I'm reluctant to share my information if it will be used to assist such a company. Less specifically about this survey and more about the implications in general for me of MN making partnerships with companies whose recent actions mean I view them as shady and unethical.

The survey doesn't specify who or what the info is for which doesn't help.

BrendaandEddie · 14/12/2015 12:11

amazing how Cadburys have gone from a much loved firm to No 1 hated

And I can see why

Hello

Mostly this is a survey about NY resolutions so that we can do a bit of press about it in the New Year; realise it seems a bit odd to be talking about resolutions in mid-December but it takes us a while to crunch the numbers and work out where you're all falling, resolutions-wise, which is why we're doing it now.

The questions specifically about diets are because we're doing a bit of research for a small outfit that specialises in coaching people to adopt healthy ways of eating (long term) rather than going the 'diet' route. We know lots of MNers don't have a high opinion of diets so it's unlikely you'll be seeing a Weightwatchers partnership any time soon...

BrendaandEddie · 14/12/2015 15:50

i tried to fill mine in. I didn't buy anything (apart from food etc obv) in January last year. And I managed it. But the boxes wouldnt let me say that
