Here at MNHQ, it's census time again! Smile

It's essential for us to build a profile of the folks who use Mumsnet, to help us attract the most appropriate advertisers and sponsors as well as find out how folks feel about the site.

So we would very much like everyone (this means ALL Mumsnetters! Newbies, oldies, in-betweeners, lurkers, regulars, overseas MNers, even men Smile) to complete our census. This is our fourth census survey - we've taken to running them every two years and would like as many of you as possible to complete it.

As a special thank you we have lined up some lovely prizes - everyone who takes part in the survey and who adds their details at the end will be entered into a prize draw where you could win one the following:

~ Family ticket to sportsFest worth £800 - PRIZE DRAW NOW DONE
~ A YouView box worth £299
~ A Mothercare/ ELC £150 voucher
~ George Foreman grill worth £89.99
~ A Dyson DC34 worth £179.99
~ One of two National Trust family admission pass worth £32
~ One of three £50 Dermasalve hampers from Skin Salveation
~ A bumper pack of the new 330ml sparklers from Cawston Press worth £54
or even a stack of books from the towers shelves (worth £100ish)

Grin

Please note as we're so very nosey about you there are about 50 (fascinating) questions but we'd very grateful for each and every response.

Here's the link: www.surveymonkey.com/s/MNCensus2013

All responses are confidential and no individual details will be passed on to any third parties.

Thanks (and good luck).

Done. But was there a way to distinguish between being on maternity/paternity leave and being a SAHP?

faustina · 30/06/2013 04:28

Done!

amazingmumof6 · 30/06/2013 06:38

done.

I've just realised I'm a bit addicted to MN.
someone brought it to my attention that I've been most prolific poster.again. I'm honestly not trying to be.
but DD is still a velcro baby so when I have to sit and hold her and can't do anything else I post on MN
or watch tv.

very sad really.

I did ask MNHQ about [choc] or Cake again. and to have a "like" option for a post and /or thread.
I hope they will consider both.
[choc] should be priority!

maybe I should send them more gin?Grin

btw I don't even want to win a prize. our house is officially full.
unless I can have cash I'm not interested in a grill etc.

amazingmumof6 · 30/06/2013 06:45

oh actually I'd be happy with Mothercare voucher.
that would be useful. Smile

OfflineFor40Years · 30/06/2013 07:49

Done. Didn't see the option of "taxes" in the political voting question. Had to tick economy which isn't quite the same.

swallowedAfly · 30/06/2013 08:26

just to add having seen a few other comments - i too found the choices as to what governs your vote very limited and non representative for me. but that may be more about our political arena and rhetoric than the survey. i guess i'd want to see 'ethics' there. i think some of us are ethical voters and yes the equality/poverty one (can't remember what it was now) one vaguely fits but it goes wider than that. it's a sense that they're not just corrupt little business boys after their cut of the spoils that would guide me if it didn't feel like that is actually what all of the parties are now Sad

Lepreporn · 30/06/2013 09:15

Done !

mikkii · 30/06/2013 14:54

I've done it, but taxation policy wasn't an option for reason for choosing political party. Since one or two of the parties figure I only studied hard and work to fund their benefits choices, that makes a difference to me.

q14 - doesn't have a not in the UK option.

Sorry i haven't read the thread so don't know if it' been mentioned...

On the pregnancy/trying to conceive question.

I've had IVF and probably won't ever conceive naturally. I'm not using contraception but I'm not iykwim.

I've had to tick the 'not trying to get pregnant' box.

If by some miracle I do, I'll let you know Grin

ZuzuandZara · 01/07/2013 11:57

Popped out of lurkerdom to complete!

I second ZuzuandZara. I also had fertility treatment and am not actively trying but not using contraception.

I also ticked the ' not trying' box.
